Being in the U.K., Louis CK is not an important cultural figure and I do t know if I’ve ever seen him in anything (unless he was in any early episodes of Better Things). But he sure seems as wooden as duck in that trailer. Can he actually act?

not a opening single quotation mark.
You would think Discovery merging (taking over) Warner Brothers would mean they’d be looking at maximising the hugely renowned IP. Especially things related to, say, Batman and Scooby Doo. But if that’s not what they want, what was the point?
Sure but... as if Brad Pitt (or someone called ‘Cliff’) could lay a finger on Bruce Lee.
Consider this: perhaps he has never sexually assaulted anyone.
So, it's at least as good as Justice League then?
Just fucking own it Diane. It IS ridiculous for there to be 17 songwriters on one song. Or, it isn’t. But it’s really okay for you to say so if that’s what you think.
Your reference to Elvis is completely and utterly spurious. You’re talking about a Black woman using part of music written by a Black/Filipino duo whom she credited.
She may well have, and I’m no fan. But whom is she ripping off, if the writers of the track she’s interpolated, are credited? You don’t need to credit any person who previously sang the song and you don’t need their permission.
If her voice isn’t sampled, and the original writers of the track are credited... I see no issue.
That was my favourite part too.
Having never heard of it before now, I suppose this book wasn’t as big outside of America. However, I now get the reference “...so go ask Alice...” in the lyrics of ‘When I’m President’ by Extreme from their 1990 album Pornograffitti.
In my head I can't untangle it from Knowing, which I rightly or wrongly remember as the same general nonsense.
Of those, I’ve seen the Departed only, and it was within the last couple of years. It was ‘cos I’d watched Infernal Affairs and I wanted to see how it compared.
Ah. Thanks. I mean, I could have googled, but then I would have had nothing to say (as opposed to merely nothing of consequence).
I’ve never actually seen Goodfellas (I know) but I enjoyed the recent Godfather of Harlem series (2) in which he had a prominent role. After some time to grieve I assume there will be some furious rewriting for S3.
We did need a word that means “accidentally causing a disaster as a result of slowly going crazy as a result of intense jealousy over my commander whose wife I fucked but was then rejected by.”
I’ve seen the episode, read the article, and I don’t at this moment know who you are talking about. (I am not from the US and also probably going senile. These may be contributing factors).
So Ed will get his ‘first’ as the first human to die on Mars? I really hope you’re wrong! F.A.M. with Danny but without Ed would be severely weakened. I’ll take an annoying redemptive self-sacrifice from Danny instead (since it’ll get him off the screen).
So we all hate Danny, his storylines, his whiney-scowl face. But, I still love For All Mankind. It’s the most enjoyable current series (this side of Better Call Saul) for me.
