EV sales down in 2019 over 2018, but please, educate me about exponential growth.

It couldn’t possibly be that a large international corporation with product planners, accountants, etc could anticipate that even by 2020, EVs are ~2% of the market and fairly flat, and no company has been able to make a consistent profit building them?

I’m sorry but the answer isn’t always “tip bigger”. All these “disruptive” businesses are premised on the same pyramid-scheme concept; use buckets of VC money to undercut an existing service or business and then gradually and incrementally screw everyone who uses or works for the service to build up a false impression…

So basically they’re at Tesla’s “beta” Autopilot stage, but correctly calling them prototypes and using them in controlled situations and absorbing liability rather than giving under-prepared car users an EULA and letting them go nuts with a deceptively-named feature?
