Wow, shrinkflation is so bad that not even awards ceremonies can afford good catering anymore. Yikes.

It’s not entirely clear what would make it so hard for Tesla to sell the Cybertruck in China

Oh, fantastic. Instead of buying a dedicated backup generator to power your home, which isn’t connected to your car and you don’t have to pay auto insurance on it, let’s siphon energy from our vehicles during a power outage, ensuring that if we run out of supplies we can’t leave to restock!

But you’re looking at a system costing well over $60,000

These trucks command outrageous prices because even a supercharged 5VZ will last 500K miles on the original motor. There’s even an owner’s club for Tacomas that reach 500K miles, as it’s not uncommon:

Food manufacturers are businesses. They are not your nutritionists. Set aside time and learn to cook your own meals, or spend more money on healthy options. You’re not forced to eat this junk.

Yeah, this reporting is bad and biased. Of the Mahindra Scorpion in the first link:

As much as we love the idea of getting our hands on forbidden fruit, we’re just going to say it’s probably fine that neither of these cars are sold in the U.S.

Musk apparently purchased a game named for a crime, then committed multiple other crimes in it before meeting his breaking point: Being asked to kill virtual cops.

Lab-grown meat is not a sufficient replacement for how we consume meat. Everyone is focused on 3D printing steaks, but what about the organ meats? How do we replace the vital nutrients we get from sausage casings, liver, tendons, collagen, gristle, hooves, etc?

Why should *I* have to prove what I say is true, when I can just blame you for not believing me?

Amen to that. I’m sick of the insistence that corporations have got it all figured out, and you don’t need to think about what you eat. It’s not some right-wing conspiracy to suggest that food regulators are not working toward your best interests.

how about you let me know what “it dues to your system when someone consumes it as their only source of protien” or what their “unexplained side effects” are

The anti-lab grown meat sentiment comes from people not trusting other lab-created foods such as those you typically see at McDonald’s, KFC, Taco Bell, Dairy Queen, and so many other fast casual joints.

What happens to all the farmers if lab-grown meat takes off? Does all their land suddenly become worthless? What do they do with all the livestock?

Is lab-grown meat vegan? No animals are harmed in the making of the meat.
