It took forever. It was worth it though, big hit at the party. =)

Check out this video. Then Google candy sushi. I couldn't handle the sweet, the geeklets loved it!
It all started from this video. I did more research, and boom. If you Google candy sushi, there are a zillion ways to do it. And, I'm in Tempe, so no catering. =(
Thanks! Those are glamgeek's favorite candy.
It was a LOT of work. And we make sushi at home sometimes, so I've got a little technique down. also, this.
They're ungodly sweet. I couldn't eat them. I could make you some though. =)
I don't make bentos. I probably should though. Cool idea!
Thank you! *curtsey*
The kids loved it. It was too much for me (too sweet).
YES!
Things like Twix, gummy worms, Little Debbie brownies & swiss rolls, the wasabi was a green frosting, gushers, Swedish fish, peeps. I also did plain rice krispie treats and chocolate/peanut butter rice krispy treats (for the health conscious who prefer brown rice).
Ah, Fruit by the Foot and Fruit Roll ups came in quite handy when my geeklets requested I make candy sushi in lieu of cake at last year's birthday party.
I'm not sure if they adjust benefits, it's based on the child's (or geeklet, in my case) age, and for the first year, whether your nursing or formula feeding. The food checks changed at (I think?) 6 months to include baby food/cereal, and at one year they removed the tuna, and $10 in produce (that was for me for bf),…
I get WIC for the newbie. I didn't get formula, however, because of that, they gave me extra produce checks (we've always had produce checks, and we also get $30 of farmer's market checks twice a year) and more baby food than my child would ever consume. I mentioned the excess to a WIC employee, and she said I could…
"It's basically fish-jello."
We are also right by a huge university, and are taking advantage of that! Woo!
Boys are fantastic too, I have a couple. The eldest has never even uttered mention of wanting to join scouts, and the newbie is not likely to be interested unless those are his school friends (which is all conjecture since he's a toddler).
I am this year! Glamgeek wasn't interested last year, so we didn't join. This year, it's on! We're trying to raise enough money for all of our girls to cover camp (we aren't a big troop, or a wealthy one).
This is glamgeek's first year as a Girl Scout, and we are most excited to be selling cookies. In other news, my pants are less than excited about all of these cookies.
