No, what is ironic is that you don’t know what a Mecca is, and yet somehow think I’m the dumb one. A Mecca, when not directly referring to Islam, is a city or place that is the center of an activity or cultural hub. Which means, saying NY hasn’t been “a center or even an especially noteworthy hub for rap music in the

Unintentionally ironic? Because I said I liked Lil B? Not as ironic as saying NY hasn’t been a hub for hip hop but is still a Mecca.

Right. A Mecca by definition is a central hub, lol.

No, it’s not even a little bit true. And what constitutes “mainstream” nowadays is no longer determined by what is on the radio. And even then, how we listen to “radio” has drastically changed. To say that NY hasn’t been “particularly noteworthy” for a decade is so false it’s not even worth listing all of the NY

“Although New York hasn’t been the center—or even an especially noteworthy hub, for that matter—of rap music for over a decade,”

Amazing. Kind of wish she had gone without the heels tho. I think the initial Genji design is Unisex enough that it works for any gender without needed to add any extra touches that could be seen as feminine. Of course it also reminds me of the MGS4 Raiden design which had a weird heel design for the foot, so heels

I don’t know much about hockey, but that second goal was disgusting. Nutmegged two ppl back-to-back, stole it off the wall around another defender which kind of was a nutmeg and then put it in. Godlike.

Have you read Rose’s testimonies? There pretty damning. Deadspin hasn’t really insinuated anything, so much as post articles and facts as they come to light.

It’s clear you don’t really have a point. The artist knows art nouveau. He knows Mucha. He made a piece imitating Alphonse Mucha’s style. It’s not a vague resemblance. It’s a specific. Not really sure why you would assume he doesn’t know these things.

I was never offended. Probably the least offensive way to say what I said. I never attacked the artist personally, nor did I call into question any of his other work. I simply pointed out a trend in art using a single piece.

This is the problem. People think a simple critique is some kind of attack on their personal tastes. And it’s not. And my original point is that there is no spin on the style at all. It’s just a copy of someone else’s style. Which, when you put it next to all of these other works in the artist’s personal style, looks

There is being a fan and then there is copying. This is less about any one piece and more about the sheer volume of art blatantly copying his style. At some point it stops being mere flattery. It’s the same tired plagiarized style.

I never accused him of biting a style in any other piece except the Chun Li. It’s a tired and well worn “homage” at this point. Have no issue with his other work.

LOL. Are we talking about the same piece? The Chun Li? Look up Alphonse Mucha, then get back to me. Seems like you’re the one who has no idea what Art Nouveau is.

People do claim it as there own tho. I’m just saying that at this point, it’s just imitation, rarely these days is it inspired. Especially when it comes to Mucha, as images like this Chun piece take his actual compositions and not just his aesthetic.

I noticed. As those pictures aren’t the one I’m referring to, they’re irrelevant.

Really wish people would stop biting Alphonse Mucha’s style and just try and do their own thing. We get it, you love Art Nouveau. Do something else.

Stop snitching, Tom.

I thought about this too. I’m a black man myself and the conclusion I came to is that the company, they probably tailor the experience to the guest. Wouldn’t make sense to discriminate against potential customers. For instance, when the trio of Asian people walk in to the brothel (sorry I didn’t recognize the language

Again, Dalton was the issue in the playoffs. and he didn’t even play in the playoffs last season. AJ is better than current Fitzgerald and has a chance to surpass him.
