By Trump logic, it’s not that Hyde-Smith is a racist for saying this. Splinter and other media are racist for covering it.

But as Trump proves, very few people actually will.
It's telling that as a white Christian conservative male, Pence was possibly going to lose re-election as Indiana governor
I think Macron is playing nice to his face, so Trump thinks he likes him. And then Macron insults him in speeches, knowing if he doesn’t say his name, Trump won't pay attention and won't understand it.
Hahaha! They could be next door and he wouldn't go.
He's waiting for Faux News to tell him about it!
Of course he was unmoved, Trump only listens when he hears his name! He said it was beautiful because that's a go to compliment. He'll get home, have Faux News tell him that Macron insulted him, and it will be "we saved France twice and they insult me! No class! His wife is old, he can't get young tail like me!"
I don't get it. As another poster said, the moderates have left the party. It's just cowardice by the leadership to play the "I like his policies but not what he says". They could have impeached Trump and replaced him with Pence, who has the same policies (and worse) and he'd keep his mouth shut.
I think it will be as successful as Reagan challenging Gerald Ford. Not at all, but very telling that an incumbent president would be challenged.
That's mostly because the Republican leadership has been quite happy to use subtle racism, homophobia, etc for decades. Trump is just open about it, and it keeps working.
I think we’re probably similar political views - why I identify as a libertarian not a republican now. And small l, cause the Libertarian party has some whackos.
He likely things it's a street gang, or when a bunch of Latino gang bangers rape a white woman.
You mean that Cadet Spurs, whose “personal Vietnam was avoiding STD’s” doesn’t respect the military? Or when he said John McCain wasn’t a hero because he was a POW? Or that John Bolton, who dodged the draft because he didn’t want to “die in a rice paddy” doesn’t? I don’t understand why anyone takes anything either of…
I've said before, but I think the GOP is letting Trump burn down the house. And most of them are saying "well, gee, nothing we can do." I expect someone like Kasich (maybe Flake?) to either primary Trump (which is incredibly rare, and I don't think had happened since Ford's run) or run third party against him. And the…
But it’s a joke! See, don’t you joke about co-workers being on the take and doing what a foreign enemy wants? I mean, everyone makes those jokes, right?
Term limits have issues and tend to put more power in the hands of lobbysists (because they’re the “experts”) and the executive branch. I’d be ok just setting a soft retirement at 65, and not letting candidates run for re election after 65.
I really think Trump is the death if the Republican party. The moderates in the party have left, which is why there were so many retirements from Congress. I expect Trump to either get primaried, or have someone run third party (such as Kasich), or both.
Ty. My counter to “his negotiating style” is “he’s just an ass”. There's no style. He's a bully and a coward. He bullies anyone he sees as weaker and is a complete coward with anyone who stands up to him and/or he sees as more powerful.
I’m not surprised by Trump’s attacks, because he is the worst. But it really shows that guys like Rubio and Graham have no respect or interest in the process, only a favorable outcome. There needs to be recounts to ensure the process works. I doubt the results change, even though the totals certainly will.
“Perhaps it’s Trump’s negotiating style, or maybe he’s still mad he didn’t get a military parade”
