It depends on what you're using it for. For most uses, 770 would be better, you only need more than 2GB of VRAM if you're pushing higher than normal resolutions. I'd be careful with those Transcend externals. I had the 1TB version of that and it failed on me, and when I got it replaced, the second one did the same thing. The drive itself didn't fail, the connection would and the drive would stop receiving power and turn on and off rapidly.
