The stunts part makes sense, but I’m also wondering if they are planning on using Reed as Tony’s replacement as the “smartest man alive.” That would mean, to me, that he would be around figuring stuff out for them or something.

That was Peyton Reed’s pitch to Fox twenty years ago. He’d just had a big hit with his early ‘60s comedy Down With Love with Renee Zellweger and Ewan McGregor, and he wanted them to play Sue and Reed in an FF movie set in the same time period.

The only way to do a Fantastic Four movie is making it a period movie set in 1961 that completely ignores the rest of the MCU

I’m not a tax lawyer, but if the project is scuttled, all the costs are considered a loss. If it’s brought to market in any way, then it becomes an asset that has value, and that may also trigger a bunch of other contractual obligations with the talent, production members, etc.

If the weasels running the studio are wanting to skuttle it to simply write off the loss, what about donating the movie to some charitable organization (e.g., Autism Society of America or similar) who could distribute for streaming at a cost per view to raise funds? You’d think there would be a similar tax benefit in

I’m working on the assumption that he’s trying to depress WB’s stock price in some kind of Hudsucker Proxy-type scheme.

Saw this on YouTube. Pretty sure she’s lying about her academic achievements.  And everything else.

Yep. Non-renewed when the contract expired. Nothing to see here. And she really shouldn’t be surprised. The breakout star of the Mandalorian has a trans sibling. Spouting a bunch of anti-trans bullshit on a set that includes Pedro Pascal seems to be a really good way to ensure you don’t get asked back.

I knew her from MMA, and really wanted to like “Haywire” (sort of a spiritual sequel to “The Girlfriend Experience”.) But she was terrible in that movie, and the movie was terrible.

Plus, she was given an opportunity to publicly walk-back her xTwitter posts and likes by Disney and Lucas Film and she declined.

The best response I’ve seen is that Disney makes her character canonically trans. “I’m Cara Dune. I was born a man, but I identify as a woman,” as we watch the impotent rage behind her eyes.

These people don’t even understand their own moronic demographic. They made Yellowstone frontier fanfic and then showed it when every single person who might have enjoyed it was home watching Yellowstone.

She wasn’t fired. Her contract was up & Disney didn’t renew it. This lawsuit isn’t going anywhere, she has no case.

Executive orders and dictatorial fiats are not the same thing, no one is making that claim in the article, so let’s not pretend otherwise. EOs are still subject to law and review and can be overturned by the courts if deemed unconstitutional. By definition, whatever a dictator says becomes the law.

Ah yes, the party of “sTAtEs RiGhTz!!1!1!” wants the federal government to step in and tell what the states can and cannot do all of a sudden. These dipshits have no fucking principles.

comes as both Colorado and Maine ruled that Trump is disqualified from November’s presidential ballot

Especially in Gaetz’s case, isn’t this a lot like Bonnie writing an Op-Ed claiming what Clyde did wasn’t a bank robbery?

So... Rose McGowan is the well-adjusted one now.

Satan just e-mailed. He’d like us to send some blankets and space heaters down.

“Wave your magic wand, Mr. President. We’re fucking useless.”

I think if “Congress wants Biden to do something” then “Congress” would have voted on a motion directing him to do so. As it is, some members of the House of Representatives wrote a letter. Why write a headline that gives credit on this issue to a body dominated by the Republicans who caused it?
