I’m glad they got rid of the AKA its a bit unwieldy to say out loud and doesn’t really work. Also using her real name instead of Daredevil, Captain America, Iron Man, etc already suggests this is a different kettle of fish anyways.

and that means we’re one step closer to this scene in live action
Well that gave me chills, especially the last line.
I always thought that as Stephen agreed to go with the Gentlemen at their first meeting he was as under the Gentleman’s control as Lady Pole was. The Gentleman controls them both because they either agreed or someone agreed for them to go to Lost Hope.
I don’t think Stephen is complicit in his actions with the Gentleman as he willingly agrees to go with him at their first meeting. Just as Lady Pole is compelled to dance for/with him each night Stephen Black is from then on forced to act upon the Gentleman’s wishes as well, but without the enforced timeframe Norrell…
But saying GoT is the only ‘great’ fantasy on at the moment excludes everything but epic fantasy. Urban, gaslight, epic, etc its all fantasy and at the moment both Penny Dreadful and Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrel are excellent and on tv right now. In the Flesh which was a fairly recent series (that BBC America may…
I cannot overstate how much I love seeing Clive (I’d kill all zombies ep.1) getting more and more up close and personal with zombie chow, its fab.
I also like the Major stuff because its a reversal of the trope. Usually its a women who’s ‘knows the truth’ but is labelled as crazy dues to ‘teh hormones’ and other sexist bullshit. The men who ‘know the truth’ get labelled as wrong or misguided or called crazy but nor treated as such.
That would make sense as its what happened to that women Blaine changed. She killed the delivery boy ‘cause she was starving. But then the Captain as he’s police could make Blaine’s life very difficult so you’d think he’d have more leverage over Blaine.
I am sure there will be a reason because Rob Thomas really knows what he’s doing. Plus one of the big themes on Veronica Mars was police corruption and he’s already starting hinting at that with the way Major was beaten up while in police custody.
I knew something was up with the weatherman but did not put two and two together either.
While it’d be pretty useless for doing my makeup in, it’d still be very cool to have one of those.
Poor Liv, this show is amazing at showing how truly awful it would be to be a zombie and Rob Thomas loves to heap misery on his protagonists, the moment Liv finds some sort of new life bam the guy is killed. I wonder what, if anything, will happen now that Liv’s told Clive she was at Lake Washington?
If we go with GoT, GoT thrones is an American series based on American books. Statistically 1 in 6 women in the US have been raped. However only 2% of rapists will be convicted (also US). The reason rape has to be treated differently is because not only is it much more common than say being beheaded, the survivor is…
Part of it is genetics, part of it is diet (but not necessarily in an unhealthy way), and part of it is age.
I think the boxing scene was either Divergent or BSG Unfinished Business and one of the women had a prosthetic sword leg like Kingsman. I also got a very Minority Report vibe from the first Kendrick Lamar appearance, the futuristic desk type thing, weird helicopter, and search lights.
I was pretty much dreading this episode from what I've read about the books but while I'm still iffy on the episode the changes they made were definitely for the better.
First off supporting membership costs money, its not free. So just saying get a supporting membership is a bit disingenuous.
Well that's majorly depressing. I was so thrilled over the winners last year, most sci fi/fantasy awards leave me pretty cold but here was a group on nominees and winners whose work I really loved (or for some loved the sound of). And now it sounds like the Hugo's are an even worse version of white men win everything…
That is so adorable!
