Personally I hope one of them is "I am not your bitch".

I really liked that scene as I thought it was the logical progression from threatening and killing the victors families. I can see Snow thinking that isolating the victors had always worked to control them before, so why wouldn't it work again?
Very very vague book spoilers, no plot details given away but if you don't want to be even slightly spoiled don't read.
I particularly love the story of Przewalski's horse because Chester zoo which I grew up near(ish) too and visited many times was part of the breeding program and I remember the info about them next to their enclosure changing over the years and becoming more and more positive and that was lovely. Plus they really are…
Damn those typos - they burn. Yes I meant parlour, the room the name refers to has changed a lot over the years. During the 18th -19th C the parlour often referred to rooms like these
Palour - a pocket in her purse for purloining pickles from the palour.
apparently so - the CTC put a big pamphlet about cycling and pedestrians out last January with all the facts in it. Although this is percentage involved not percentage to blame.
Do I really have to copy and paste every reply I've made in this thread cause I've already covered that point - still struggling with those literacy skills I see.
I was just pointing out that the nearest thing to a driving license for cyclists recommended taking the lane and so the next time you see someone do that just realize there may have very valid reasons to do so and are truly not doing it to be a jerk. Plus drivers should actually be going into the opposite lane to…
If you're going to but it with stupid comments read the whole thread first - my first reply was that car drivers are solely responsible for 75% of adult cycle accidents.
We don't stick to the side of the street cause we're trained not to. Literally any bike training worth its salt will teach you take the lane when necessary - ie a lot of the time. You're bitching at perfectly legal actions.
I was hit by a car and left unconscious at night in the middle of a busy road - so I now call all drivers attempted murderers - which makes about as much sense as you comment.
Actually Bikeability the government sanctioned cycling training scheme in the UK recommends taking the lane as your default cycling position.
My Mum says she wishes every able bodied driver had to cycle for one week each year to be able to keep their drivers license.
I was cycling home from work at night, about to enter a busy roundabout and a car slammed into me from behind. The driver wasn't looking at the road at all but cause he knew about the roundabout was just under the it'll kill a cyclist speed. My helmet shattered my skull however did not.
In the UK its a bit different. A pedestrian is more likely to be killed by a car while walking on the pavement than hurt by a cyclist. Also 75% of cycling accidents happen at (or just after) junctions so I didn't think is was that meaningless. I personally was run over just before a junction.
In the UK the pedestrian would actually be at fault for that (and could be done for damages) but I don't know how it works elsewhere. Also only 0.5% of pedestrian fatalities are cyclists so it must be really fucking difficult to hit someone hard enough to actually hurt them when your on a bike.
The facts don't say anything like that and Capitalizing and italicizing aren't going to change them. Hell you could make them bold and you'd still be spouting bullshit.
Sorry - that was the OP. My bad. The point I was raising however was valid - shitty trail cyclists does not equal shitty road cyclists and here's some proof.
