I don’t agree with Mitsubishi. Man these are all subjectively good cars (keyword subjective). I happen to like the 2002 Thunderbird because of that styling, if anything it made the SSR look like complete and unadulterated overkill.

I remember watching a MotorWeek advertisement for this and not even a week later I saw one in that color in pristine condition. I’m sure it’s got its cultists who believe in it to this day.

TBH a car that doesn’t have the natural ability to fold its top is not a convertible. So the Viper can miss this round.
