My local precinct has both traditional units and stealth units. I went to college with one of the officers, I asked him about the stealth units. He said those are just for traffic duty. Makes even less sense.

May be fact. A member of the department left two hand guns in his vehicle and it was stolen, hence they know the stolen vehicle has two handguns in it. Then FOMO on the part of these officers regarding a possible chase.
They’ve already investigated themselves and found no wrongdoing, I’m sure. Case closed.
Not that it would matter with the way some of them drive. There was a similar crash around here a while back with a cop blowing through a red light. Broad daylight and lights flashing, but when you crest a blind hill doing a buck twenty in a forty five zone the cross traffic doesn’t have much time to react.
We wont ever know because the dept. will cover it up.
The department was looking for a stolen Jeep Grand Cherokee with two handguns inside the vehicle.
And the cops should be tried and convicted with vehicular homicide.
If they could have, I’d bet those cops would have jumped out of their car and immediately cuffed the lifeless bodies and started shouting at them to stop resisting.
They weren’t even chasing anyone, they were on the lookout. How the fuck are you gonna be on a lookout driving at that speed?
The very first low hanging fruit police reform needs to tackle is getting rid of these undercover bro dozers. The main vehicle should use is a blaze yellow Toyota Sennia with constantly running safety lights. They aren’t suppose to chase or pit people anymore. Just call in the helio and follow at a safe distance.…
Going to be tough for them to find a reason to not charge the cops with anything, but they will.
The families of those killed should get every penny of that $100 million.
I don’t necessarily have a problem with unmarked police vehicles. I do have a problem with black, unmarked police vehicles speeding on public roads, at night, with no illumination whatsoever... no flashing lights, no siren, no headlamps even. That’s a tragedy waiting to happen.
I was going to say “ban unmarked cruisers,” but I have a feeling that black markings on all-black vehicles is some kind of technicality so the cops can say “but it’s marked!!!” Not that it would’ve mattered in this case, but still. Who’s going to see their ghost decals at 5 AM?
Pounce and Generate ... that fits. Effin’ cops ... too many of them think they are not only “above the law”, they “are” the law. While the truth is too many of them don’t know the laws they pretend to enforce.
This wasn’t even a police chase, makes this even more senseless.
I was looking at helicopter footage of the traffic jam and they’re not using both sides of the highways. People can still drive south in Florida. They need to restrict southbound traffic to just one lane so the other 2 lanes can be used for northbound overflow.
If you can’t refuel your gasoline powered car because the station is closed, you’re not going to have a long range either.
You know cyclists were on all roads before cars became popular right? And just so you know, we cyclists have not yet relinquished our right to get around and use streets and roads.
The time is coming up fast when gas station employees will start to evacuate. Especially if they have kids.
