The XLR was outrageous when new but is pretty close to normal now for any luxury car. Headlights on my 2018 GX are something like $1100 each, but the 2020+ facelift cars are like $2600 per headlight to replace. And that’s on a Toyota product.

More interesting to me are semi-normal cars with really high-priced parts, like the XLR tailights. At least with these headlights, the cost for the part to value of car is low, whereas the XLR taillight to value is wild for one part.

We need this story from the point of view of the female passenger.

years ago I was the designated driver and I was driving a friend of a friends Pathfinder, the windshield was covered in dirt and without windshield washing fluid. I can’t stand having a dirty windshield.

All credit for jumping in and getting it done. She is using a jump start pack it appears which is only one step above plugging in a phone as far as the banana level goes but you do have to know what to do and she clearly did. 

I mean, she has real life experience.  It shouldn’t be surprising that she can jump start a car.

Jumping a car should be a skill that anyone with a driver’s license should possess and yet here we are.  But kudos to AAAOC for this.

Hypothetical examples don’t excuse their attitude. If they don’t want to ‘suffer fools,’ there are plenty of options besides going full on ‘do everything I say or else!’ if efficiency is really their concern.
