There are fluids for detecting really really small leaks. Soap is OK, but the bubbles can burst and it’s tough to get the soap solution on without introducing bubbles that mask the leak source. They are used in HVAC to find the little leaks that might take months to be a problem.

That makes sense. Is the traction motor also a high voltage component and shouldn’t it also be shut down due to the exact same problem for the exact same reason? If the A/C going bad is a problem then igniting the traction motor(s) must be far worse.
