I would imagine someone looking to buy/finance close to $100k worth of cars has enough disposable income to be able to live close enough to the city for it to not be soul sucking. Presumably he also has enough equity in a current house that would roll in to a new purchase. At the end of the day it won’t matter one bit

The driver is welcome to drive with their hand at 12, the system simply won’t work then.

People actually buy whole new printers when they run out of ink???

And that’s what REALLY sucks. It’s not just packaging and single use plastics anymore that we’re expected to just toss on a regular basis - entire products are built with such short lifespans that it’s ridiculous. And none of that cost at a societal level are getting factored in to this cycle of churning out whatever

I sure hope that 75 mile commute is total, not one way. If the latter, I suggest our friend here consider buying a new house too. Don’t waste what is 2-3 hours a day minimum being stuck in traffic (not even factoring in the blood pressure issues it will cause).

Interesting. The driver recognition tech sounded good in theory but sounds like they messed it up big time. Why are the sensors on top of the infotainment screen? Perhaps that is part of the issue and it would be more accurate if it were looking at you directly from the driver’s instrument cluster instead of

Capstone trim? Glad to hear that someone in the marketing department just finished their MBA and learnt one new word in the process. Congrats, Chad!

A bit local and specific, but how about the crap that states like Maine and Rhode Island are pulling totally screwing over current owners of some JDM cars/vans that were legally imported in to said states?

How are cops even allowed to run regular patrols with no markings? I don’t blame the lady mentioned at all for calling 911, and what did she get for it? Her phone tossed and destroyed, locked up in a cell, and charged with resisting arrest.

Curious where in NE this is, to make sure I avoid this place full of assholes. “Hey as long as they’re being assholes to other people and not us, we’re cool with it!”

Having grown up in a 3rd world country, that’s insulting to 3rd world countries (I’m mostly kidding)! What I’ve mostly experienced are cops trying to make a few extra bucks by being overzealous with their policing and then hoping for a small bribe to make it go away. That’s peanuts compared this - a full on profit

Well they’re pissing enough people off that they’re prepping for the impending riots.

So only people with direct experience can comment on a topic now? Geez, man. Welcome to the internet. You may have had a good experience, but clearly in Mercedes’ case they’re being absolute dicks about it. Both points can be true.

How has the battery fiasco affected used Bolt prices? Haven’t really kept an eye on them since I let go of my 2020 Bolt after I stopped commuting.

Holy shit. Why not just buy a piece of land with a nice cabin by a river at that price??? Added benefit of being able to rent it out if she wants to the majority of the time she’s not using it!

You’ve been citing this $36k number in every comment you make. Yes, that may be true - but the US is a very, very vast country with huge variances in cost of living depending on what place you’re talking about. In the town I went to college - sure, $36k is probably doable to lead a simple middle of the road life. All

Sounds like its time to put up a stink with Carvana on the warranty crap that SilverRock is pulling on you. Contact them and if it goes nowhere start making a fuss about it on social media.

Just now realizing how old the thread I commented on was! Just stumbled upon the article and thought it was a new one. How come you sold it so quickly?! Sounds like you could’ve sold it for more!

Very nice! Insane how much prices shot up on these things once the hype train started 1-2 years ago. Given how bulletproof these drivetrains are good call going for high mileage but well maintained ultra clean...hopefully wasn’t too bad on your wallet as a result. I love how Lexus also has the nifty VIN lookup online

Exactly this. Mazda isn’t wrong here, but they’re stuck in a bad spot with the positioning of this vehicle.
