I’ll agree that taxing unrealized gains is troublesome and likely to face many constitutional challenges. It’s probably a bad answer to a good question - the core issue of hoarding of wealth and how inequality has grown in recent decades is an absolute concern for society at large. To say the least the lack of upward…
But it’s not just appearance. Many people might think it is - but it’s actually performance. And not just 0-60 or some crap that people cite but never really impacts them...it’s actually how shitty your car feels driving over our bumpy roads. I think if people did side by side comparisons when test driving they’d…
THIS. I get this is all very complicated, but if most of the people bitching about this proposal actually understood what you just said (and on top of that understood the difference between a million and a billion - because apparently many of us on this forum are so close to being hit by this soon!) there’d be only…
Will also add that the average human doesn’t comprehend the difference between a million and a billion. It’s like a shit ton - so they think that this legislation is aimed at people that many people could theoretically be someday...no way in hell is that even remotely true for 99.99% of the population. I’m sure many…
Bigger wheels as a premium option. Why? 18" standard is already too large - why the hell would you want even more rim and less tire? Ruin ride quality AND pay more for tires over time.
Agreed. Had a 2" hitch installed on our Outback to tow a small camper trailer. Was shocked that it came to like $350 for the hitch plus installation. Could’ve ordered it for $150-200 and done it myself in an afternoon too, but the all-in price seemed reasonable enough to not bother.
That ramp gets backed up and people try to skip the line but then have to slam on the brakes in an active lane of traffic to pull the asshole entitled move of skipping ahead a few vehicles when force merging into the exit lane.
...have you been to America?
Wait so you never got a title and you didn’t think to look in to it for a whole year? Or was the car financed, so you wouldn’t have held the title anyway?
I know the last few years have been a blur but I too was wondering “has the Urus really been out for THAT long?”
Comes down to $$$ at the end of the day. Companies move whatever they can offshore to remain price competitive - which is what consumers are driven by for the most part. Combine that with our political structure, tight funding, and unwillingness to shore up local manufacturing/industry (especially compared to the…
Spectacular! I think they also come in a fetching red I would be very happy with.
Don’t disagree there - I’d love either car and would have a really tough time deciding. If I’m buying it as a fun car/weekend toy I’d go with the E63 every day. If I need to drive it on a daily basis and pay for fuel I’d probably go with the Volvo.
Good to know! Would you happen to know if its transferrable to second/third owners? Realistically I’m not going to be able to afford one of these new...but a few years old with 5+ years of warranty left, that would be tempting!
Came here to say this. Aso is on Kyushu, which while not Honshu which is where Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, etc. are - is still one of the primary (4) large islands and hosts large cities such as Fukuoka and Nagasaki.
I’d be terrified to own one out of warranty (especially this thing with its turbocharger + supercharger + PHEV drivetrain)...but damn!
Nothing to add, just wanted to share this beauty I spotted yesterday and had to snap a photo of.
Intel is expanding their fab capacity in Arizona significantly (already have a significant presence there, Oregon, and in a few other locations around the US), AND TSMC has also announced that they are building a fab in Arizona. Both are essentially responding to US/Western concerns around semiconductor manufacturing…
What I’m thinking of is something like TSMC just opening a fab in Kansas or something.
