Well THAT one certainly isn’t. Saw the other photo you shared in the comments as well - we need to learn more about this awesome vehicle of yours! What have you done to it, and what do you do with it?!
Sure - but we both know that a fair number of people past retirement age are often still working to make ends meet. Just go look at any WalMart checkout section. That’s exactly the group that was hit hardest, and those who survived may not be quite so willing to just jump right back in to the workforce given their…
You’re almost talking as if many regressive communities in this country aren’t still at like 30% vaccination rate, and the Delta variant isn’t starting to spread rapidly in the US too.
We’re moving cross country and the wife was trying to convince me to sell my (old + stick) car and just buy something on the other end when we get there, so we don’t have to pay to ship it. I’m not super attached to it and I WFH so I would have been open to it in normal times, but this market is crazy - no way in hell…
Cops today would unload all their ammo in to the car first because it had the audacity to run away from them.
A: shows photo of expensive Porsche
My FIL is not even remotely tied to the auto industry but still can’t bring himself to buy a “foreign” car....so he’s bled through the nose with a string of Jeeps and Fords for the past few decades. I guess it’s commendable that he’s putting his money where his mouth is with his pro-labor democrat beliefs, but damn…
The people complaining about this being a piece of shit are likely the same people who complain about folks over-extending themselves getting 8 year financing on $40k 3 row SUVs. What’s the alternative? Just wave a wand and be rich instead?
Very tangential question for the Jalopnik crowd -
Surprising to hear that about the steering, great! And yes fully understand the engine in something less focused like this is never going to be as special as in something like an S2000, and that’s fine. Honda has a reputation for sweet engines, as long as that is still the case even if evolved from what they were in…
I’m definitely not expecting an S2k engine, and a Type R will likely be too expensive and too hardcore for the type of daily I’d be looking for. As long as it has character and rewards you for wringing it out that’s all I’d expect out of it, fully understanding that their 9k rev limit days of screaming are past them.
Honestly quite shocked by the condition of those things for the price, not bad at all.
Good. Hybrid tech has proven itself, and a traditional hybrid won’t need huge battery packs, so shouldn’t affect weight and handling much if designed from the ground up, and offer good end results.
re-re-re-remix!
Sounds rough, what a shitty thing to go through as a kid. And fuck that cop for just letting your dad go with a ticket for driving drunk, with TWO KIDS PLAYING IN THE TRUNK...assuming he fully well knew your dad would simply take the ticket and keep driving home afterwards. Good old boys club, I guess?
This car looks fantastic. Actually a car I would consider buying brand new - nearing middle age and all, needing something practical and reliable, while also being relatively fun.
Seriously, with attitudes like that no wonder they can’t own a 3500 sqft home outright after 3 years of back-office work and let the Mrs. be a trophy wife at home watching after Ayden, Braiden, and Slayden. Teslas are for hard working successful people.
Pro-circle lobbyists at it again.
Wow I didn’t know that was a thing! I’ve drooled over a couple of GX470s that came WITHOUT the nav option that most vehicles had just because it splits out the HVAC controls (but those are surprisingly rare so something like this sounds like it will give you a lot more options as far as finding the right vehicle first …
