Yup - plus who cares if some jackass emails you offering $2k? Just ignore them and don’t let it hurt your feelings. Maybe cross post to some of the larger cities (e.g. if you’re somewhere on the west coast post to Seattle, SF, LA and obviously be very clear about where the car is located up front) - a true enthusiast

As an added bonus, a car like this will maximize your bang for buck with regards to your car stipend or mileage reimbursement.

I’m pretty torn on this. You can’t transfer license plates between people, so they use the loophole of just “selling” a cheap car that the plate happens to be on.

LOL Mercedes seriously did miss a great opportunity by not posting this as a NPoCP listing!

The reason why such a large percentage goes to gasoline mainly is about demand.

I wish I drove 13k miles in 2 years on my lease! I leased a Bolt in January 2020...thing just ticked over 2,000 miles last week. What started off as a hell of a deal is unfortunately turning out to be a dud having been home most of the last year, and looks like I’ll be WFHing most of the time going forward too.

Looks like a perfectly good little car. I also love how it has an old fashioned key...which just feels quaint in a car that you aren’t actually “firing up”.

Exactly this. There have been very good cheap EVs for at least the past 5 years that are actually affordable. But people just don’t care. They don’t realize what they’re missing out on, so the rest of us get crazy good incentives on these cars instead. Which I guess is fine by me - but I would also like to see more

You may have a point - but those feelings are often misplaced. I have had an EV commuter for the last 5 years and my wife has come to love them with use, to the point of wanting one for her next car too (or at least a PHEV since it will be the family roadtrip vehicle). Driving an EV, especially in daily traffic duty

Nice finds, Mercedes! And sounds like it’s going pretty smoothly so far.

This already exists. Check out RHDSpecialties, they are based in Kent, WA (mostly do Skylines, WRX, Evos, etc...so go fast cars). Out here in the PNW there are many other small shops bringing all kinds of weird things. Like Javan Imports in Portland seems to exclusively do 4WD adventure ready vans (like 4WD TownAce,

“But that sounds just like what everybody else has. I’m special!”

FWIW - if someone has enough money to burn to go buy a new EV or two every few years (which at this point are VERY heavily depreciating assets given lack of demand and rapidly changing technology) it just means super cheap lightly used EVs for the rest of us when they offload them in a few years*.

“E-Stang” I like it! Custom license plate suggestion for your friend?

I too think these things look awesome - and it’s a true hatchback! Given how unloved they have been perhaps it has the potential to be a comeback hit at some point...but my biggest problem is this -

Haha nice one!

Let’s gridlock government and kill it from within...and then “hey look how bad government is, do you really want it taking more of your money?!”

Hell yeah, shots fired! Amen to speaking the truth on this BS.

Didn’t you hear? They were all ANTIFA crisis actors paid for by George Soros.

Amen to Mercedes pointing this BS out. Whining like this, the traitorous acts of 1/6 etc. show just how much these clowns actually care about law enforcement.
