loud clothing...

I would say that’s what I expect from most writers on here at this point...but Lawrence I was holding out hope for as “one of us”, given that he’s a longtime commenter on here and old Oppo (RIP).

Wait, so this shitty ass slideshow is LITERALLY, LITERALLY just a list of the questions people asked?

That’ll teach them to trust bankers, salesmen, and politicians.

Market speculators? It was the de facto means of on-demand transportation literally for decades, enacted and upheld by these city governments. I too would be pissed as all hell if I made the investment to buy in to that system, only to watch the cities bend over backwards for these “disruptors” whose only true

As a car guy, I like you and agree with you about wanting fun transportation. But we need to realize this isn’t most people. Take my wife - she finally has come to the realization that our Bolt truly is a more pleasant daily driving experience than our Outback. These are the types of automotive comparisons being made

Personlly think that’s quite unfair...the C-HR has so many lines and protruding surfaces, it is so disjointed. I wouldn’t call this design disjointed at all, it flows very nicely. If it’s not for you that’s fine, but pretty unfair to compare it to this abomination -

Seriously. Even just look at that truck - is it even real? Looks like a teenager took a late 2000s Silverado and went all Pep-Boys on it. Of course you’d have to pay people to place fake non-committal orders on that POS.

I liked the Daily Show bit about “Republican politicians go on prime time national television to complain about how their voice is being stifled” or something to that effect.

I know it’s not how you meant it, but I had a cursory interest in getting a bike when I was in my 20s. SO I went and bought a Honda instead...an S2000 :P

Right. I don’t see this CPO program bringing any new types of riders in to the mix - simply giving a cheaper option to people already bought in to the image/mindset.

You’re not wrong, but I’m not sure why it’s an elephant in a room. Some states are already charging more fees up front when you buy the car to make up for this. And there’s plenty of room in the per mile cost of an EV vs an ICE to build in some tax structure to pay for infrastructure and still end up ahead.

Hope one of the writers sees this!

Sorry you’ve had to deal with that BS. I’m a brown Asian too and can relate to some extent - I love travelling this country and for the most part have had some amazing times. But looking back I wonder if I was being stupid given the few shitty situations I’ve/friends have encountered.

ive done a handful of rides that are 400+ in a full 24 hours. (it’s just 4 back to back 6 hour centuries), so its not super fast... but very doable. ive done a 950 mile ride in under 72 hours, so 300 is very doable....

Exactly this. Fair enough to compare an S2000 to a Miata but depends on what you are looking for out of your purchase. A Miata is a much friendlier, easier car to live with on a day to day basis. The numbers on the S2000 don’t portray the rawness it has to offer - it’s wild once you get it over 6k rpm, and it forces

Seriously, this is a joke. Maybe they plan on building bigger charge packs over time? Like having a fleet of trucks with a huge battery in the back where they can pull up and charge your car for you? Perhaps with that scale their prices will go down, but sounds like it will never make sense to use it as your primary

Utter garbage, but OK. Camry was an example but you ran with it. It is a fact that trucks get a free pass on various costly elements of making a vehicle because in the regulator’s eye they are helping commercial activity. Which is BS for many trucks being used for personal use. And you Mr. Genius believe that cost has

Which generation? My brother had a 97 V6 with the manual back in the day, damn he loved that thing. Which sounds utterly bizarre to say today...but being a college kid and all it was something he was truly proud to call his own.

Can’t wait for his next best-seller - “How I survived a papercut while at the mall”
