Arkansas - the state that makes you get the “name the 50 states in alphabetical order” wrong in grade school before you even get past the “A”s. How could you blame a child?

Toyota - We haven’t changed the 4Runner in 20 years and it is selling better today than it ever has!

That picture especially makes it look like a really shitty render out of a video game. Or one of those ads where they just drew a generic “car” that looks vaguely familiar to actual cars.

...and a bad decision, to keep his trend going.

As a card carrying bean-counter I promise you this is either mythical perception of what accountants actually do, or some quaint image of an accounting team from a century ago. If anybody is actually giving this as an excuse as to why their product is inferior/cost cut to that degree at a company of Ford’s size they

As an accountant for a similarly huge company I can guarantee you - that might’ve sounded like a smart response the engineer provided, but it’s complete nonsense. $100k is pocket change that a company that size wouldn’t even bat an eyelid at from an accounting perspective. Multiply it 10x and they still wouldn’t

Yup. Have had an EV in our driveway for going on 5 years now. It’s always been a commuter/local-ish runaround car and we have a bigger family vehicle for longer road trips and camping. I have visited a public charging station exactly zero times.

You’re right. There absolutely is value in it. I guess I was just giving some personal advice that you might want to save your sanity, but good on you for taking the time to challenge him.

GTFOH. This is the internet - there is no space here for hoping that someone succeeds in the long run, but also being critical of their current performance!

Yup insufferable pricks, the lot of them. They’ll be constantly berating you about the most mundane aspects of the car while having absolutely zero intention of buying the damn thing.

Oh geez, this argument again. Blame Chevy for their MSRP BS all day long, but if you’re walking in to a dealership and paying MSRP for one of these things, or ANY Chevy, you’re doing it all wrong and should have your wallet confiscated.

Pointless arguing with such people. Anything short of “Hello Trump supporters, I am Donald Trump and I am directing you to storm the capitol, attack the cops, and stop the certification” will amount to him being innocent in their eyes.

Was going to say - I thought the ND2s had more HP because they opened up the rev limiter further, and torque remained the same. So they are able to quote a higher HP number mainly because you’re revving it out higher...so for everyday driving, these people claiming “noticeable” changes seem to be convincing themselves

Have you ever visited a Chevy dealership? You get ~$5-10k off MSRP for just walking in the door.

Yeah I really don’t know who this car is for. Guess the same question applied when it was brand new.

Yup - and given that 2/3 of the photo is a solar panel I thought that’s what this deal was about (and I am in the market for one potentially, for my camper battery setup) - but apparently this deal has absolutely nothing to do with the panel!

“Is it easier to just do it with humans?”

Hey that’s a great use for an old phones laying around in a drawer, surely. Have dongle, have Torque on my phone, but never use it - maybe this will change that.

Just found your post, missed it when you had first posted it. Yes it’s a great platform - a few quirks but generally really easy to use and create content on.

Yeah once the news was official that Oppo was getting discontinued a small group of folks put a lot of work in to recreate its awesomeness outside of this platform. It’s been really great - all the old regulars, quite a few new folks, and none of the kinja headaches.
