Anyone know how much it costs to get a 900 number? I don’t want to run this type of scam, I just want to register that number with all of the spammers so that they call me and I profit from it.

Hey Tom, as a Davenport resident, and one who is currently fighting the floodwaters in downtown Davenport, the lead-in to your article is very misrepresented. Downtown Davenport did not flood because a HESCO barrier failed, that was one city block. I’m only a few blocks away from that barrier that failed, on the same

You also want to make sure that there aren’t any Barbarian encampments nearby, and preferably a luxury resource or two.

Makes sense to me, and I have decades of zero experience with the legal system!

I’ll let you legal eagles debate the merits of this, but can we extend this to red light cameras somehow?  Shit’s not fair - absent policing at its best and revenue generator at its worst

This building was built for centuries by craftsman and workers from all over middle ages Europe. From the entire earthquake and subsequent chain of events (including the meltdown). Remember this was the 4th largest earthquake ever measured (9.1 on the Richter scale). The 3rd largest ever (the 2004 Sumatra-Andaman Islands Earthquake) was also a 9.1 and that resulted in 227K dead (and with no meltdown).

I actually used to really enjoy Amtrak along the Northeast Regional line (DC <-> Philly <-> NYC), because the stations are all in the heart of the city, making actual travel time comparable if not faster than getting to-and-from airports and flying.

I’m lazy so I just kinda fold the top inch or two of the coffee filter out and around the rim of a coffee mug so it’s held in place and pour the grease on through. I love using bacon fat to make roux for soups and cheese sauces and shit like that.

The most infuriating thing is when your phone locks in the middle of step three, and you are forced to unlock it with wet garlic-covered hands only to find you have to scroll down to the instructions all over again.

Can confirm. This extension works like a dream. Just clicking off the pop up box also makes it go away if you really want to read about how the author went to Thailand 20 years ago and has since been inventing crock pot recipes to recapture the magic of that adventure.

Speaking of citing sources, can you include a source for that chart? Interested in reading about it.

This happens every couple of years. And the cycle is always the same.

1) Media fawns about it.
2) Authorities get wind of it.
3) Turns out it was always an illegal lottery and it gets shut down.
