I swore off SNL when they had Trump on as a guest so all I see of SNL anymore is clips of leftists mocking the show for all the dumb celebrity cameos and bad political sketches. Who needs jokes or to make a statement when you can just get a cheap laugh from having a Matt Damon cameo as Brett Kavanaugh?

Makes for a good headline, but how about some facts? The UK has allowed cinemas to reopen for over three weeks now, and so far there have been zero new cases explicitly linked to cinemas.

I currently work in a grocery store (yay COVID economy!). All due respect to Dr El-Sayed, all goddam day long these motherfuckin customers pick shit up, fondle it, then set it back down, often way the fuck NOT where they picked it up. Every day someone from the front end or even a store manager will take a shopping

Here’s the thing about closing down the concessions stand and making sure that nobody’s eating or drinking, i.e., removing their masks:

The problem is that one man’s conspiracy theory is another man’s strongly held belief.

Thats actually the two 'experts ' plan all along , convince everyone not to go so THEY'LL have the cinema to themselves..

says expert” Can we stop doing this? I probably have two dozen “says expert” posts in my facebook feed this last hour. Half of them will be articles about how my children will have to be home for years much less this school year, the other half are definitively saying that a worldwide plague was made up as a scheme

Suggestion: Send all the no-mask, COVID-conspiracy, COVID-party nuts to the new Dinesh D’Souza propaganda film documentary staffed by non-masked COVID infected persons. Do this for a few weeks. Sanitize. Then let’s see who thinks going to movies right now is great.

I do have to wonder if Disney is releasing it just so that it can say they released it to theatres and then do what they did with Onward and just send it to Disney+ or premium VOD after 17 days.

Well an intelligent and compassionate government would put laws in place to make sure people are paid and business can stay closed long term until the virus is mitigated.

Howzabout theaters like The Music Box, where they have a huge auditorium, and making a point of not packing it in? I know it’s still not ideal, but assuming I’m not eating popcorn and am sitting further than the minimum responsible distance, is that permissible?

My mom went to the movies last week and acted like it was no big deal because it was a small theater and they only had like 8 people in there.  Meanwhile I’m staying at home and I’m the low risk one.

Ok fair enough if people don’t want to visit a cinema, but is there any suggestions on how cinemas will stay in business if they stay closed until next spring/summer? Or any cultural venues for that matter?

I went a couple of weeks ago because I live in Texas and the power was out at my house for a day and a half and it was sweltering and boring as fuck in quarantine. I went to two movies back to back and I was the only person in the theater for either one of them. It was the ideal experience. And when I came home I had

What about people who have already contracted and recovered from it?

So selling my Nintendo Stock at $40 was a bad idea!

It’s probably important to note that Sony owns the rights to Spider-Man in video games. In other words, it is more likely that in this case Crystal Dynamics didn’t pay Sony (enough) to put Spider-Man on the other systems, rather than Sony paying money for exclusivity.

I too like Waluigi for the psychological space he occupies in this franchise.

Just gonna say it: I’ve read a LOT of the “discourse” online about TLoU2 and I have yet to come across a post from someone who hated the game (not just “I have criticisms/was disappointed,” but outright hate) that wasn’t clearly the product of someone who either:

1) Sony legal is not Naughty Dog.

2) Nothing you posted justifies death threats to creators or actors, does it?
