It’s so interesting to me because Leo doesn’t have a lot of sci-fi in his filmography beyond Critters 3 and Don’t Look Up. He works with a sci-fi nut like James Cameron -- but it’s a period piece.

People got used to all the edgy f-bombs coming out on streaming.
The Hutt effect has definitely improved from the original Special Edition version...
Jennifer Beals: my childhood crush who’s still super hot at 58...
I love that Spider-man ride at Universal: one of my favorites! 4DX has totally been my way to get a sort of theme park fix without spending a small fortune on a trip.
I had to see it in IMAX but I just got tickets to see it in 3D 4DX in a few weeks. (Funny how 3D used to be all over the place and now you kind of have to search for 3D shows.)
I thought Avatar was gonna bomb because it looked weird and wasn’t based on an IP that anyone knew.
I thought Titanic was gonna be a huge bomb. It was a massive success.
“Spider-man” is supposed to be a New York City kid. Friendly neighborhood Spider-man. The presence of all the buildings for him to swing about on seems to give him greater mobility when he’s in this city. I feel like he should be buddies with locals like Daredevil and Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. Except he’s way…
I hate to be angry on the internet about comic book movies, but I agree — I was so ready to love WW84 to death, and it’s just so much nonsense. I won’t take the energy to relitigate all the plot points that make no sense. Comic book movies, like all movies, need some basic narrative logic to them.
Honestly, I’m surprised Cameron would even entertain the prospect of working with IP he doesn’t have complete control over, at this stage.
Cameron’s SPIDER-MAN was the thing I was most looking forward to back in the 90s.
I’d like to see Fincher’s opening title sequence for Spider-Man. (With remixed version of “Something I Can Never Have”.)
Robert Pattinson, of course, is Batman.
I love all my villagers right now. I’ve got one weirdo (Raddle) that I like to keep just because all my other villagers are so cute, it’s nice to have some contrast. And Raddle’s cute in his own ways.
It’s interesting to me because “Homecoming” is technically a reboot but it’s clearly shaped by the fact that there were these two separate Spider-man franchises that came before it. Which is why they don’t go through the labors of Peter’s origin story. And now, the multiverse has created this situation where they can…
I think Avi Arad has historically been a big problem with the Spider-man franchise in general, and he never believed in Miles Morales.
All of this. Isaac Perlmutter is the key reason all the old TV stuff doesn’t completely align with the big official MCU.
It’s a little weird that the Holland Spider-man series acknowledges the existence of an Uncle Ben, but we’ve never seen a depiction of him and Peter doesn’t really talk about him except in passing to mention people he’s lost.
CGI Tarkin seemed to be received relatively well in Rogue One. Lucasfilm had obtained permission from Peter Cushing’s estate before using his likeness.
