Hey fellow little! I personally think there’s too much of a height obsession in the world. People will pounce on an actor being shorter than average as if it were a character flaw — as if he’s short because he failed to defy his genetics and grow taller.

Absolutely. Watching the show, I was thinking that her being sooo concerned about concealing her Nazi origins seemed completely unimportant. Her bedrock of support would probably just get harder. It’s remarkable that “Nazi” isn’t a dealbreaker in terms of popular support in 2020, but here we are.

There was a Playstation game called “Pong: The Next Level” that was released in 1999, filled with all sorts of fun variations on the Pong gameplay. It would be awesome if some version of this were playable on this device, along with some manner of force feedback with the paddle controllers.

This “Nurse Jackie” reboot series looks crazy.

I attended a special fan screening of the Season 4 finale in NYC back in December 2009. The showrunner was there and he took a picture of the audience reaction to the final reveal. It was a massive response.

That makes sense to me, though her wording still seems peculiar to me. If this were the case, I might understand something along the lines of, “Nothing’s actually set in stone, but I love the property and the creative team. Would love for it to happen but it isn’t a done deal.”

There used to be a big division between “movie stars” and “tv stars”. It was a big deal when a tv star graduated to the big time and became a movie star. It was a big deal when a movie star signed on to do a tv series.

As a child of the 80s, I loved “Masters of the Universe” and the toys, because most of the action figures did really unique things. This one’s got “battle armor”, that one sprays water out of its mouth.

I am positive that there have been other attempts to turn “Space Mountain” into a movie. Apparently, Max Landis developed a script at some point.

Glad to find someone else who still watches.  I can’t quite get myself to quit it, but there are a lot of modern eps I’ll half-watch or just delete if a bunch have piled up in the DVR and they’re not hooking me early.

Yeah, that’s what I meant. Film adaptations of his graphic novel work.  But then I looked up his credits for film/tv and couldn’t find much original material created for the media.

Been looking forward to seeing Saint Maud for a while, since I watched that trailer so many times in theaters.

Alan Moore hates “Hollywood”.  Is this a first?  Him creating an original story for a dramatic series...?

I’ve warmed to the idea of SNL resorting to big name casting for the political cold openings. Those are the sketches that are most likely to be played on news shows afterwards, separate from the rest of the show, so it’s almost like a different entity. I think SNL’s take on Obama was the weakest and they never nailed

I feel similar, though there’s no way to do away with “comedy”. An institution like SNL can be especially dangerous because it’s an entertainment show but can be used as a tool to normalize/humanize someone — infamously as when they let Trump host in 2015. We’re in a genuinely perilous time right now. Ridiculing “both

I agree, which is why I think bringing Foxx back as Electro might not be a bad idea.  The new JJJ isn’t technically the same character as the one in the Raimi movies -- the casting is just the same.  Similarly, I hope they reboot the Electro character so Foxx isn’t just stuck with furthering the same material.

I like Foxx but I hated his version of Electro.  I didn’t buy him as a loser who just wanted to be besties with Spidey, then goes supervillain when he realizes... that Spidey *isn’t* his bestie...?  Just seemed like a poorly crafted character.  Like a lot of that movie.

Just got mine this morning, from a walk-in CityMD.

That pilot episode of “Raised by Wolves” is INTENSE.

I think because it’s a cartoon, none of it felt inordinately intense to me. No blood or gore. People get killed but it’s way off-screen. No feeling a consequences here. Mostly characters that don’t have names. The season ends where it seems like it should have begun: kids completely stranded, trying to survive.
