True, I think War of the Worlds and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull both show this latter day Spielberg that’s okay with depicting aliens as monsters.
Can’t wait for all the next generation Baron Harkonnen GIFs!
Close Encounters of the Third Kind 2. Hear me out.
This show somehow feels extra raw and intense right now, as real world racist lunatics have been legitimized and emboldened by a dumpster fire president.
It’s amazing how much Robert Forster was working toward the end, such that new movies/shows are still being released with him in them. I just watched his “Amazing Stories” episode recently.
Was looking forward to seeing Saint Maud — back before the world went away, across the count of time, down the long haul into history back — I saw that trailer so many times in movie theaters.

Loved these things as a kid in the 80s.
Lev!!! Get out of the Holodeck!!
This sequence is one of the reasons it might be my favorite game ever.
RIP
I think they were waiting for a global pandemic to release it.
Hans Zimmer’s theme for Themyscira slaps! (Am I using that term correctly, kids?)
They’ve gotta make those movies FAST before Asher Angel grows up to NOT look like Zach Levi.
I wouldn’t mind seeing some Superman news :-)
LETO: “I’m struck with such gratitude for the opportunity to bring this movie to life, especially as both the original video game and the film affected me so deeply as a young child...”
Jason Bateman’s directing on OZARK has been really impressive, IMHO. Particularly that pilot episode — it’s the start of the series but it feels like the series finale of a show that’s been building up to this for a number of seasons. I liked his feature directing debut, “Bad Words”. I think he has really good…
