This post seems like Gen-X bait, which is why I’m here.

Time to relitigate LOST!

Yes, I hope he didn’t quit because of something nefarious. He had quite a cv in the 80s. NeverEnding Story, D.A.R.Y.L., Frankenweenie, Cocoon. The last/oldest I remember him was in Cocoon: The Return.

YES, loved the bubblegum scene, too!

It annoys me that we’re adding medical theater to the security theater we’re already subjected to. We’re still removing our shoes at the security check years after one idiot tried to light his shoe on fire.

As much as I made jokes about the service, I downloaded Quibi on day 1 and ordered the Ad-Free service to kick in after the free 90 day trial.

Celebrity streamer Walter “Pee-Pee Poo-Poo” Roosevelt was arrested today...

I think the flying cow was the big trailer money shot.

I just finished the game and I’m with you 100%. I’m equally disheartened to find a lot of vocal hate for this game — I think that happens with a lot of great, boundary-pushing art.

Just finished and wow -- that ending is heartbreaking.  I’m seeing a lot of negativity being thrown at this game.  I like that it’s NOT just a straight-forward revenge story.  That it forces you to confront those feelings.

Gotta admit, I’m a sucker for long-form narratives where the creators say, “We already know how it’s going to end!” The worst time I got scammed by that line was reading an old Entertainment Weekly article about the first season of “LOST”. (SPOILER: Back then, JJ Abrams said he had an ending in mind, if they could get

Yeah, I saw it opening weekend (Winona Ryder was in the audience!) and no one I knew was impressed with the movie.  It had some cool sequences for sure but it was just like a special effects reel.  Thin narrative premise as an excuse for some cool visuals -- a Michael Crichton specialty.

That underwater barfight is one of my favorite random bits in that movie filled with wonderful bits. (I posted this clip a lot in the lead up to the release of AQUAMAN.)

I do personally feel a lot of the awkwardness of TROS comes from them incorporating leftover Carrie Fisher footage to try to craft a closing arc for Leia. It’s super awkward. That said, even if she hadn’t tragically passed away and was able to do everything they would have had her do for that movie, there are so many

I was a defender of Abrams until TROS hit. I don’t even wanna dogpile on him now because everyone does that. I feel like there was so much effort made to “re-center” the franchise — remind people why they fell in love with it in the first place... and I think some of that was really effective but the whole thing was

One big innovation in JAWS: the background sound!

When James Mangold came in … he deserves a chance to take his shot at it. I’d done several versions with Steven. And when Steven left, it seemed like the right time to let Jim have his own take on it..

I thought it might be cool if a more talented filmmaker than Michael Bay took on a GOBOTS movie franchise, because those Transformers movies are just horrendous. But I guess Hasbro bought the IP rights to the Gobots years ago, so the Gobots are kinda part of the Transformers universe.

The lockdown made me appreciate that I’ve always tried to practice social distancing at movies. Going to early morning shows, trying to reserve seats that were far enough from any other parties. (Particularly at the Alamo Drafthouse, where every two seats share a table.)
