Yes, I hope he didn’t quit because of something nefarious. He had quite a cv in the 80s. NeverEnding Story, D.A.R.Y.L., Frankenweenie, Cocoon. The last/oldest I remember him was in Cocoon: The Return.

I just finished the game and I’m with you 100%. I’m equally disheartened to find a lot of vocal hate for this game — I think that happens with a lot of great, boundary-pushing art.
Just finished and wow -- that ending is heartbreaking. I’m seeing a lot of negativity being thrown at this game. I like that it’s NOT just a straight-forward revenge story. That it forces you to confront those feelings.

Yeah, I saw it opening weekend (Winona Ryder was in the audience!) and no one I knew was impressed with the movie. It had some cool sequences for sure but it was just like a special effects reel. Thin narrative premise as an excuse for some cool visuals -- a Michael Crichton specialty.

I thought it might be cool if a more talented filmmaker than Michael Bay took on a GOBOTS movie franchise, because those Transformers movies are just horrendous. But I guess Hasbro bought the IP rights to the Gobots years ago, so the Gobots are kinda part of the Transformers universe.
