I was fortunate enough to attend a few episodes of Gethard’s NYC public access show a few years ago. It was delightful. Anyone can produce their own show on YouTube but there’s something cool about going old school and using a platform like public access to try something different.  It was a crazy little scene.

I didn’t like Jurassic World: Chapter 1 but I actively disliked Jurassic World the Squeakquel.

Yep, it’s literally foolproof.  I was more tense the first time I rode it, when I didn’t know that doing my part didn’t really matter.  I didn’t want to be the one to mess up the mission.

I was never sold on Harley Quinn’s origin story.  I know she originated in the animated series, not in the comics, and I’m sure there have been some comics of her since that have done a better job of explaining her.  But in the Suicide Squad movie, she’s a psychiatrist treating Joker... and then Joker seems to... beat

It’s exciting to imagine Keanu Reeves joining the MCU because — Keanu Reeves is kind of his own character. Call him Neo, call him John Wick — it’s Keanu Reeves. And he NAILS that character. (Go back and watch Francis Ford Coppola’s Bram Stoker’s DRACULA for a young Keanu Reeves floundering trying to play something

What’s great about C.Hemsworth is that he’s got the standard leading man good looks/body -- which can be very generic -- but he really excels at comedy.  THOR was my least favorite of the MCU franchises until Ragnarok made it completely fun.

Without even reading your plot synopses, I love the idea of this as a trilogy.

Speaking of oldies, I like this old video of Alan Moore visiting an OCCUPY protest movement—a movement he greatly respected, and was “touched” that his work inspired the movement enough to adopt Guy Fawkes masks as their unifying symbol. Around the 1:40 mark, he talks to some protesters and one of the guys

I’ll be more intrigued when they announce who’s playing Penguin.  I hope it’s a really weird choice...

Nitpick: Unicorns are like raccoons in this world — but they’re still seen as fantastical creatures worthy of painting on the side of your van?? Which one is it??

THIS is the only correct comment for this article.

Did a little pause on the flash-frames and discovered actor Jeremy Bobb (who you may know from Cinemax’s THE KNICK and Netflix’s RUSSIAN DOLL).

I had the strangest crush on Linda Hamilton in T2. Emilia Clarke and Lena Headey are beautiful women but both were far too soft and soft-spoken for what I want to see in a Sarah Connor— and Linda Hamilton’s return is the reason I’m excited for this latest attempt to resuscitate this franchise.

Mmm... I’m eyeing the 4K screenings of ALIEN at my local Alamo Drafthouse this weekend... they’re at 11:10pm... that’s a little late for me...

OMG, imagine a Joe Dante directed ALIENS: THE NEW BATCH...

What was the cost?? Of that retirement farm?

One of the big milestones for the original Aladdin was that they were allowed to make modern pop culture references... pop culture references that have aged like a fine milk.

I am CRAZY about Defunctland — the Jim Henson content has been excellent.

The new Dark Crystal will be brand new nightmare fuel and I cannot wait!

I’m usually really careful but I missed a flight about two years ago because I underestimated the length of time it would take to use mass transpo that day. I was totally bummed out but the nice service agent was actually able to get me an another flight without much more of a delay — AND it was a direct flight versus
