YES. I think the movie’s really well-made, but this seems like a big issue. (Similar to the issue at the end of SIGNS: it’s like, did NO ONE figure out this weakness before...??)

I don’t know his history and whether there were some faltered attempts to bring him here earlier, but yes, he’s sensational. Incredible charisma and physicality.

Yes, in the book it was Ultraman instead of Iron Giant, IIRC. They just couldn’t get the rights to Ultraman for the movie.

THIS is the Spielberg adaptation I’ve wanted to see for ages. I remember loving the book. Definitely plays to the strengths of 80s Spielberg. Hope he makes this one.
