I love the idea of Ricci returning to that franchise as the matriarch. And Carice Van Houten would be a wonderful Morticia, too.

Disney had “Touchstone Pictures” to release adult movies, for years.
Is it too late for them to slap that 20th Century Fox opening fanfare onto STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI???
Yeah, I’m not holding my breath for ANYTHING any time soon. Marvel’s production slate is already packed for years. Given the value of these properties, they could possibly do something radical and rejigger their slate. (They can stop trying to make “INHUMANS” work if they’ve got X-MEN.)
AGREED ON ALL POINTS!
I remember watching the tv movie FATAL VISION as a child in the 80s, with my parents. Scared the gummy bears out of me.
The whole zombie logic of the show always bothered me. The fact that everyone is already “infected”, but that a bite accelerates the turning.
Even the “comic” C3PO stuff in the prequels was real tone-deaf, relying on puns and sight-gags. All the charms of the OT was lost.
Yes, I’m referring to the comics specifically, too — I can’t find it online right now but Kirkman wrote an intro (maybe to one of the compilation volumes) where he talks about how he originally thought that Rick would last to the very end, but had since revised that idea. He wrote that Carl would be the one to last to…
That’s what he said originally, but then revised that along the way. He’s been talking about Rick dying before the end:
In the comics, from what I’ve read, the long-term endgame was that Rick wouldn’t survive to the end and it would be Carl’s story — at the very end.
I’m so curious about this movie. People say Spielberg’s the dream director for this project but I don’t think so. He didn’t grow up on his own movies. This is a story about someone obsessed with an era and cinematic aesthetic that Spielberg had a big hand in informing. It is weaponized nostalgia and I don’t know if…
“With great power comes great responsibility...”
That SANTA cold open was excruciating!
I remember reading about James Cameron talking about Battle Angel Alita a lifetime ago. Maybe in the 90s. So it’s surreal that this trailer seemed to pop into my feed out of nowhere. This was one of his big projects that he seemed to develop intensely. We never got to see his version of Spider-Man, but I feel like RR…
I’m looking forward to him posting banners for THOSE numbers...
I want them to resurrect the purple guy and have his skin actually be purple. (Fuck “keeping it grounded”.)
Those damn red hats. Whenever I see a red hat walking around NYC, I automatically have to check to see if it has those words on it. It’s become a hate symbol.
While the season had some big issues Gwendoline Christie is some kind of wonderful in “TOP OF THE LAKE: CHINA GIRL”. She’s just fascinating to watch, and it’s clear she’s capable of so much more than she’s been given in GAME OF THRONES (and certainly TFA).
