Was thinking... an even BIGGER Deathstar??
I remember binging the first season — however we binged things back then. (IIRC, there was a marathon.) A good show for it. I remember, the actors started to genuinely feel for the guy as the show progressed.
YES! I remember liking Joe Schmo!!
How about The Joe Schmo Show which had a “Truman Show” premise where one “regular person” was tricked into thinking he was part of a reality show, though all the other contestants were actors and it was scripted. Kristen Wiig was on there!
Is this the face of Marvel’s rebooted Wolverine, once they get those rights from FOX??
It’s like the relative of a celebrity. You see the resemblance but they just look so ordinary in comparison.
I just imagine him ripping the posters down and hollering, “YOU’RE RUINING MY MOVIE!”
BETTER CALL RON!
Tom Hardy is the one reason I have some hope for this.
Frozen was such a box office phenom, you’d think this would have been a boost to COCO, but you can’t just stick any old short to the beginning of an animated film. The Frozen short would have been a fine holiday tv special on ABC, but it’s built for Frozen fans — relying on your prior knowledge of all the characters —…
In the still shot, I thought one of the universe’s JKs was a lot heavier, which I thought was interesting. I first discovered him in season 1 of OZ, in which he’s a lot doughier. (After the first season, the actor started hitting the gym hard.)
Someone’s got to break into JJ’s office and open that goddamn box...
GDT infamously has way too much on his dev plate, always, but this really should have been his to oversee. He’s long talked about how he grew up on classic monster movies. He understands them far better, clearly, than the Universal execs who greenlit that last MUMMY movie.
The woman in the seat in front of me — who was shepherding a row of antsy kids — turned around halfway through the FROZEN thing and asked me worriedly, “IS THIS COCO?? This is going to be COCO, right??”
It’s super underrated. I loved RUINS — both the book and the movie adaptation. (I liked the little changes made to the movie version to keep book-readers on our toes, too.)
I know it’s an old complaint but this show was originally launched as the spin-off of the big screen universe and there were all sorts of opportunities for cross-overs and cross-promotion. You’ve got a tv-show that’s just a constant advertisement for every new feature film they’re launching. “Winter Soldier” showed…
Add to the list of things that make me feel old: most of the Sesame Street characters sound wrong!!!
When does Amazon start production on a remake of Game of Thrones?
