and this is a good thing? no offense but playing with chinese players in other games has NOT been a positive experience for me personally. entire servers in certain games have often been overpopulated with chinese players hired to farm in-game resources and chase off other players via harassment and sell the resources…

Having less choice is a disadvantage for the consumer, so is having to use an inferior client. Console gamers are used to hardware exclusivity, I guess. I’d imagine they wouldn’t be too pleased if they had to download multiple launchers to their console requiring multiple accounts just to play certain games though.
