Yeah that’s odd. I can kind of understand it if you suspended while in a multiplayer lobby but for a single player game with online aware features that’s strange. Especially since Immortals Fenyx Rising quick resumes fine. It does a little reconnect to the servers but that happens seamlessly for me.

Elden Ring is a perfect example of this. I have no idea why it even supports quick resume. Doesn't even let you skip splash screens.

Agree! Would LOVE if it excluded always online games or ones that need to server authenticate on startup. Even with Valhalla I’ve frequently had issues where it won’t let me save after coming back from Quick Resume.

As Burito below points out it still bypasses a lot of the initial startup but by that point I’d rather

Oh my lord your ending analogy is perfect it is EXACTLY what that is like lol

I fully exit/quit any game like that after each session. I find that’s the best way to deal with them.

I’ve had consistently bad experiences using quick resume with any game that has a substantial online component. If I play a bunch of Halo Infinite campaign, turn off my console, and quick resume it later with the intent of doing some multiplayer, it always fails to connect to the servers and I’m forced to manually

That’s why I wish Halo Infinite was two separate apps like they did with Crackdown 3. So I can have quick resume on for the campaign and off for the multiplayer. I don’t know if it’s a bug or what but when I quick resume MP I can’t connect to the servers and I end up exiting the game completely so I can boot from

My son would get a lot of use out of this. He’s always switching back and forth between the multiple games he’s currently playing. I won’t get much use out of it, as I am incapable of starting a new game before completely finishing whatever I’m currently playing though. Though, I get the impression that there are a

This makes me extra bummed that FFXIV is currently being touted as PS exclusive, as it’s the only next gen game I’m really looking forward to at the moment. I enjoy using my One S so much more than my PS4, so whenever I do upgrade I’d really prefer to go with Xbox for Game Pass and features like these (plus I hate how

I mean you still get to skip all the splash screens and loading from the initial load of the game so I still see SOME benefit of keeping it as an option even if it’s less useful.

That’s a big quality of life improvement. hopefully down the line they can expand it to allow more games to be pinned.

If the switch is any indication, text meant for a monitor will not be easily readable on the steam deck. Many of the games I’ve played on the switch  have issues with tiny text. Pretty much the only ones that arent problematic in my experience are games developed by Nintendo

Its funny, but as someone who grew up gaming on PC I have just the opposite opinion. I much much prefer gaming at a desk to gaming on a couch haha.

“But then why not just use the far cheaper Switch?!” you cry, somewhat belligerently. Well, I reply, yeah, there’s a lot to that. Except that I’ve fifty squillion wonderful PC games on my Steam account that have never had a Switch release, and I like playing them. Never mind the significant point that this is a much,

The legendary difficulty adjusts in such a way for 3 players that I would say if you can’t trust that the other 2 players are good/willing to coordinate and synergize with you, you’re better off just attempting it solo or with a buddy. Enemies who you could previously deal with in one to two hits with a special weapon

maybe keep the Deepside stuff for materials, but let us get patterns just from breaking down regular versions of the gun in question rather than needing Deepsight specific-versions? Because right now, getting a ‘regular’ version of one you’re looking to pattern feels like a bait-and-switch rather than an exciting

the Deck can run AAA titles ... but at 1280x800. NOT 1080p, 1440p, or 4k. Keep that in mind if you want to compare a docked Deck to a desktop on a TV.

Some Deepsight weapons like the Tarnation Grenade Launcher only drop from the Wellspring. Others always have a chance to drop from any activity/engram. As far as I can tell there’s no real way to target farm them at this point which is one of the larger flaws in the crafting system atm (imo).

Are there any tips for getting a more diverse set of Deepsight-equipped weapons (ie, do some of the craftable Deepsight weapons only spawn in certain activities?)

The problem with that is that a Switch has a completely different library, and a lot of PC gamers have hundreds of different PC games that they’ve already paid for.
