I’m really enjoying the content, and the dungeon is a lot of fun. My one issue with the cost being as high as it is lies in that I gave up running three characters a long time ago. I still use my two alts for raids or GMs, but I barely pay attention to their gear. I haven’t even finished neither the Shadowkeep nor

Yeah I don’t really disagree. The way the 30th has been monetized just feels grimy no matter how you slice it. The way dungeons are being carved out from seasons next year is similarly disquieting.

I don’t actually think some price increases are unreasonable — a new activity(s) + season story + dungeon season is just

I sometimes rag on Destiny for taking itself way too seriously (or falling flat when it does attempt humour), but it does have its moments and this is one of them. Not sure the actual anniversary pack is worth it though — for me it’s an insane £22 for one dungeon, a weapon and some cosmetics, and they’re asking you to

This is giving me hope, because as a lazy (don’t want to LFG) and antisocial (I don’t like playing on mic, and just wanna “hang” by myself when I’m playing D2) player, I really want the Thorn armor (and the most infamous heavy weapon in Destiny history), but I’m always too intimidated to try to solo dungeons.

I know we’ve covered this ground before, but I definitely think you’re good enough to solo this 3 person dungeon. It’s much more puzzley and slow-paced than previous dungeons. The mid-way boss may be a little bit challenging, but beyond that a bit of patience is really all you need for this one. There’s no Vorgeth or

I had a blast running the 6 man and the dungeon w/ my partner last night. We went in blind and loved trying to figure out what the hell was going on after we finished the 6 man and even more fun when we attempted the dungeon. I agree it sucks things are stuck behind a pay wall but I think of it as a small dlc charge.

I’m imagining it plays a lot like Operation: Tango, where there were two distinct roles and partners needed to be playing with someone in the other role, so each person was playing a separate half of the game that relied on passwords or other contextual information from the other player to solve puzzles. Puzzles could

I’m with you.  I get the basic idea that the games aren’t actually linked, but I don’t understand how it knows to connect them.  Does one person simply select ‘Perspective 1', and another ‘Perspective 2', and then they chat over Discord about what they’re finding?

It doesn’t seem to be “local play only”, as it states it’s meant to be played while chatting, in person OR over Discord. My best bet is that you both load up the game, and it gives you an option for Player 1 or Player 2, and it loads up whichever version of the game you picked and you simply chat through it with your

oh that’s devious. i like it.

I mean, I think it is good still? I think it definitely WAS good.

You’re interacting with your game independently, so they’re not linked.

The developers tell me that the game won’t use an online connection between the players, designed instead to be played while chatting, whether that’s in the same room, or over Discord.

Played the hell out of Gladius back in the day! Can't wait to check it out again

Better set a month aside for Dicey Dungeons...

Right after I finish with Forza Horizon 5.”

2023?

Last week, I almost threw a game away that’s been sitting on my shelf for 15 years(?) because I didn’t feel like taking it to Goodwill and I know Gamestop will give me nothing for it, and I knew, I knew that there was no way it would ever be playable again through backwards compatibility.

I’m exactly on that team. Never played a Forza Horizon before, even if they sounded like a lot of fun. Tried FH4 through Game Pass and freaking loved it. I was absolutely ready when FH5 came out.

Purely anecdotal, but that was literally my experience as well. Got a Series X a short time after release (thanks to one of those Twitch streams that hosted the stock checker bot), realized that FH4 was on GamePass, gave it a shot... and while I didn’t play a TON, I had more fun than expected and did jump onto FH5

I think it has more to do with the fact that the map wasnt as diverse as this one is. I loved Forza Horizon 4 but the map got real old, really fast.
