I've bought a number of high mileage cars throughout my life, never had any major issues at all. It's not really the mileage that matters on a great car, what matters is how well the previous owners maintained it. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this E30. Not at all.

Wow, I thought I was a unique case, I guess not! I've actually had a person follow me and when I parked asked me what kind of car it was. That kind of freaked me out, because (like you) I consider it pretty common. And, while driving through a parking lot, I've also heard people on two different occasions scream out

Yep, heard that a lot. In fact, I used to have that same view… until I drove one. That made me want it.

I bought my Porsche Boxster 986 for the price of a Miata. The Boxster is an incredibly fun car that us jalops know isn't a "rich mans" car at all. But, the general public sees that "Porsche" badge and they automatically think you're rich. Gas grifters? I encounter them frequently. I always tell them I can barely

The drivers here in Silicon Valley (ground zero for the worst drivers in America) quite literally follow NONE of these rules… except number 7. They leave gaps so big that a bus can get in front of them with no issues—even while STOPPED at a traffic signal.

So, um, what justice are you fighting for?

I forgot what started it (maybe this?) but he didn't like something I wrote, so he then went and looked up every single comment I've ever posted on Jalopnik and made rude, condescending, contradictory, and deliberately incendiary comments on each of them. It was very stalker-ish.

You're right on the year models, 87 thru 89 especially. You're also right about reliability, probably the most reliable 911 Porsche has ever made. Color - to each their own, but I wouldn't let a color stop me from buying one that's otherwise perfect. But, dude, get a COUPE. Seriously. Targa and Convertible tops

I used to own a VERY similar Fiat in the same color scheme, so normally I would say that I'd choose the Alfa in this case since I've already owned the Fiat. However, I'm a sucker for classic cars, and the Alfa is just too modern… so I chose the Fiat.

Kind of silly article. Every car looks better in black.

Since Volvo, Jaguar, and Land Rover all went to crap after American companies bought them, yeah, they've kind of proven they're American cars. Of course, Jaguar is doing much better now, but you forgot Saab, RIP, which was utterly destroyed. Pretty much, if it's crap, it's an American car.

So, then, it's GM is what you're really saying? General Motors owns, Holden, Holden makes this crap, GM puts a Pontiac badge on it, and you still want to call it an import?

I'm confused on two points here: 1) I thought we were supposed to be responding with imported cars that flopped—last I checked, Pontiac isn't an import. 2) This car is about as bland and generic as they come, there is absolutely no styling to it at all. I can't comprehend the comparisons of a cheap, pretend sports car

Why has there not been a biopic movie of John DeLorean??

I'd rather pay the additional $+600k to have a decent looking car.

The bumper is only the beginning of the ugly on this car.

…and much better looking ones too.

So the portion of the picture I selected doesn't seem to be showing up. I'm sure you can figure out who I'm talking about.

Is that George Clooney or Taylor Hicks??

I'd be terrified too if I had to be in a Mustang going that fast. It's one of the worst handling cars I've ever had the misfortune of driving. A boat has more precise steering.
