Seeing the cashier’s eyes dart nervously between them, lol.

In the words of Atlanta's greatest, "Let me break it down child style so you don't miss": don't touch strangers without their consent.

If I had to hazard a guess, I’d probably guess that you weren’t raised under a rock ... you’re probably just white. But, trust, this is SOOOO a thing; like, it’s been written about in mainstream publications like USA Today a thing. I’m pretty sure it’s not that obscure.  My recommendation:  go tell five white people

I am a black woman and I can assure you that the answer is yes...on both counts.

Yes.

Every. Damn. Day. It is beyond common.

You would think that with the hijacking arm of the #METOO movement, they would understand that NO WOMAN should have their hair touched without permission.

Yah, you feel something touching your hair that shouldn’t be there, swatting it away would be my first reaction, also. (Which gave me 2nd degree burns when someone said once ‘Your hair’s on fire.’ What? slap slap OWW! my hand! my hair! shit! (it was somewhat comical now that it’s been a long time since it happened.

I say that the quieter I am, the angrier I am. But my inclination when this (or any other unwanted contact) has happened to me is to swat the person’s hand away, so I’m sure that’s what I would have done here.

“Because contrary to the “angry black woman” trope, what we do best is make it okay for everyone else. *sigh*

Whoa! That lady can channel some inner peace and calm. Either that or she was channeling her rage into politeness... I do that when I get _REALLY_ angry, so could be that, too. (If you ever see me start to get angry, then get really calm, it’s a bad sign)

White woman on my job wanted to touch my hair.
She said, “It looks so soft.”
I said, “Can I rub on your pregnant belly?”
“No.”
“See? Same thing.”

Well, I hope during his stay in prison, he gets passed around like a fucking hordeourve and then he’ll have a real experience to speak from....asshole.

It’s a real problem. I know I live in constant fear of being struck ill with a disease that turns me into a violent racist asshole through no fault of my own.

He is a strange one.

He’s there to teach black people to hate gay people, whom his god tells him he hates more than black people.

I knew four paragraphs in that Taylor was going to blame his abhorrent racist behavior on an “illness”. He’s sick alright... from advanced wypipoicist.

The global racism hasn’t changed in how its used againtst blacks. It cuts us off economically, uses religion to say God wants us displaced and at the bottom, uses pseudoscience to pretend we’re inferior, sets up a buffer race to enforce these beliefs in society and backs it all with a brutal police regime.

How about avoiding Africa if you hate black people?

I see the native Ugandans are calling out the police there for treating Jimmy Lee with kid gloves and not like they would regular folks.
