If you take in to account all of the issues that need to be fixed, the actual cost of entry is much higher than the $1800 asking. By the time you fix everything listed, and whatever else that’s not mentioned, you’re well into the price range of something better that’s also rust free. If you must have a manual Grand…
Classic big ugly wheels on an old Civic combination. Looks like you either get zero suspension travel, or you better get used to the sound of those low profile tires banging into the wheel wells. At least it’s not stanced... Still CP.
It’ll be really fast for a run or two at the drag strip. Just do yourself a favor and have your AAA membership paid up and on speed dial.
Yes, a few mods and these will be very, very fast... briefly. Then it will break, and your 11 second car will spend most of it’s remaining days on a lift, or on the back of a flatbed. But at least it will look cool while doing so.
You’re absolutely entitled to your opinion, but that’s the reason for a more split opinion on this car than you might have been expecting.
Anyone with experience with these cars knows the financial peril that comes along with them. Something is always breaking/broken, and it’s never a cheap fix. Along with that, the transverse engine layout in the tiny engine compartment make it a nightmare to work on. And honestly, when they are running, they're not all…
While the seemingly stock configuration is a rare find these days, these cars just aren’t worth the headache to keep on the road.
Death by a million small cuts. Went into the article wanting to like it, but there's just too many stupid choices made with this car. CP to end the year.
Wow... I took Rob’s word on the plastic wrap without scouring the photos. Guess that means all of the work I’ve done on my own cars over the years didn’t happen, right?
Nothing says "run away!" quite like the use of plastic wrap in the cooling system. This thing is ready to explode, if it hasn't already. CP
A 10+ year old, 150k mile Rover that doesn’t have the good engine, and isn’t even that good off-road... Someone is going to hurt themselves with this, financially and emotionally, and it will be on your conscience for setting the trap. CP
My first car was a ‘91 Ford Tempo, same engine, FWD only. Slowest car I’ve ever owned, by a long shot. The only thing that it could beat in a drag race was my brother’s awful ‘89 4cyl Auto Mustang and my friend’s Hyundai Excel... Got rid of it after less than a year for a base model ‘97 Hyundai Accent, which was an…
Oh yeah, that famous Italian reliability... Outside of the first model year, which had some issues as many first year models do, the S2000 was a very reliable car, like most Hondas. If you managed to find the only reliable Alphas in human existence, hold onto them forever, it’s like finding a pair of diamonds in a…
Isn’t the Club in the passenger footwell a bit redundant? The (in)famous Alfa reliability should prevent any potential thief from getting too far down the road.
Interesting car, but CP at that price/mileage combo.
They put “Clean Title” in the search filter section to trick people into looking at the listing. CP for being shady.
The fact that this has PDK is a big enough difference. I’m not buying it, but I can see why someone would.
This should be 100% CP, hands down. To the handful of NP voters: you’re not funny or ironic. You are thieves of joy.
I was thinking Wankel rotary swap for some oil-burning goodness thrown in.
