It’s not attrition - if anything that’s a mitigating factor, there’s been less attrition. There were fewer built and sold in the first place from 2009 to about 2012-13.

Absolutely. Around the recession Infotainment started to improve past more than just a novelty. Backup cameras and sensors were brought from luxury vehicles to the masses.
But now you can add cameras (front and rear!) for like $100. Bluetooth and CarPlay headunits are cheap as hell too. And thanks to Google, YouTube, and forums, all this modern tech is fairly easy for even a novice to install on almost anything built before the mid 2000s.
One of my favorites from when I was very young was My Name is Nobody. Looked for it for years, I finally found it and got to watch it a few years back, and it holds up amazingly well, and video quality was surprisingly sharp.

I think the whole point of the ending is that Ethan did horrible things to create that happy ending for the other characters. Then, in the final shot, he can’t join them. He knows that is not a life he can have and turns back to the frontier.
I know we’re supposed to be talking about Daryl Hanna but...man that sounded good. He gets a great tone out of that guitar/amp. Also, his voice still sounds the same. I’m amazed.
Back 20 years ago, I had a neighbor who was a car dealer. His father owned a huge dealership in a different state. My neighbor had his father’s mentality on running a used car lot and was working for a big dealership in town.
