Thank God they didn’t actually produce that concept, or any of their other concepts, because I’d be about 84 months in debt right now otherwise.

Can the IIHS tackle DRL LEDs that are so bright the driver thinks their headlights are on even when they’re not? I run into this all the time now, because dashboards are always lit, even with the headlights off, and DRLs are so bright the owners think their lights are on. I’ve been stuck behind someone without their

Oh, this is going to be fantastic.

Fwiw some airlines offer same day first class upgrades for $30-90. It’s not always available, but if you have a longer domestic flight it’s worth checking.

Controversial opinion, I think these are dumb.

Whatever you do, don’t get him started on the subsidies. His head will explode and he’ll start talking about hybrids and posting pictures of LA’s power plant and...oh...I see it’s already started.

Is there a reason Porsche’s batteries don’t degrade or function less efficiently in the cold? Because physics doesn’t care where your electrons came from.

They made it more reliable in the extreme stress case while reducing it’s usefulness in normal use-cases. which is great if you plan to mainly race with it but if you’re planing to daily drive it’s going to suck.

(the average person isn’t hitting 155 MPH 20 times in a row on their way to work)

not exactly, they’re trying to make them drivable all day at the track racing, which is much different to what most people use them for (the average person isn’t hitting 155 MPH 20 times in a row on their way to work)

Porsche talked all that trash, and then when it came to the most important metric for an EV...it couldn’t beat vehicles 25% of it’s price?! Congrats Porsche...you’ll be the fastest EV alright...from charging station to charging station. Go take several seats!

But I think that’s kind of the point, right? Crudup Manhattan tries, but doesn’t really care. Yahya Manhattan cares, but is so trapped by his abilities.

You make me sad

I think the Lexus IS handles this pretty well. The seam is kind of an extension of the taillight.

Id argue GM is pushing a lot here. Where else are you going to find a mid engine car in that price range. Hell what other car has the performance specs of the new Corvette at that price point. You can argue a Model 3 can do a similar 0-60 but it ends there. GM has always used the Vette to bring performance to the

The C8 will also be the first corvette I own, but I’m 37. Maybe it has more universal appeal than the last couple of generations?

I wrote myself a letter when I was 25 And put it in my desk that said,”when I am 65 and can afford a new corvette it is not a mid life crisis but the realization of a lifelong goal.”

Also if GM was “catering to brand loyalists” then the C6 would have never gotten rid of pop up headlights, the C7 would have circular tail lights, and the C8 sure as hell wouldn’t be mid engined. Tadge Juegter(Cheif engineer for Corvette) once stated that the Corvette would always evolve and use the latest technology

Dude, I don’t know what you’ve been smoking, but keep that stuff far away from me. If anything, the Corvette has been UNDERRATED for a very long time. The reason the Mustang is so popular with younger people is because they are EVERYWHERE, and almost everyone grows up with someone in their family that owns one. Also,

“I could care less”
