Argentina appears to have been an anomaly. They just had a golden generation, now all of those guys are old, and they haven’t replenished at all.

This series was atrocious. You weren’t allowed to even look at Wade for more than 3 seconds without getting a foul called on you.
police found them with a bunch of weed
I’m a Mavs fan, but I wouldn’t mind Dirk going somewhere else to compete for a title. He deserves better than what Mark Cuban has surrounded him with. He shouldn’t be guarding centers though.
So will Miami fans finally shut up about him coming back now?
I feel like this is just the lack of expectations at play. Love was so bad earlier in the series that 9 points and 14 rebounds makes him a “hero”.
Didn’t having a rooting interests before this game, or even before the 4th quarter, but after Lebron’s last block on Iguodala, I had to root for him. He just deserved it.
It’s pretty funny, fans are killing Ayesha Curry for acting like one of them.
Sports narratives are super lazy, and yeah, they kinda bum me out too.
I wish they’d rig the games to be more individually entertaining.
Peja’s last hurrah in the league is probably my favorite game ever. Peja and Jason Terry combined to hit 15 threes against the defending champion Lakers in game 4 of the 2011 second round, finishing off an improbable sweep and sending Phil Jackson into retirement.
I don’t place Ali and Robinson on opposite sides. I don’t place Malcolm and Martin on opposite sides either. I mean, they were different, but they weren’t opposites. I think history has sanitized both Jackie and MLK in ways that have turned them into the opposites of Ali and Malcolm, when they really weren’t.
Luckily I am an insomniac. I watched every second, it was really really good. Jeremy’s dad had a million Ali stories that he has passed on to his son. I could listen to them all day.
I think we have different definitions of perfect. Jackie had to be perfect to white people, he himself ultimately regretted how much he toed the line, he himself wouldn’t describe what he had to be as “perfect”.
The single most important sports figure of the 20th century. If I had to teach an alien about how sports can be important to human society at large, I’d start with Ali.
Yeah, that wasn’t very encouraging for Cleveland. Steph and Klay both had bad games, and yet things still looked so much easier for the Warriors than they ever did against OKC.
The warriors confidence didn’t suddenly turn into anything. They’ve always been the same, the only thing that’s changed is your perception of them.
That shit was lit.
If the Fighting Illini start finishing in the top 10, their fans and alums would become real irrational too. That’s how it works.
Being (unfortunately) familiar with Waco, I’m stunned that they actually fired him. I thought they would hold out until the bitter end.
