Great point! There are three flicks in the MCU that certainly should have been contenders, imo (Avengers, Winter Soldier, Infinity War).

I never realized that was a specific divide! I liked both, but if I had to pick one I am team It Follows, for sure.

Did people forget that Zack Snyder makes bad movies?

that the impulses to be a superhero actually degrade, rather than enhance, your ability to help your fellow man.

Scott Steiner was never my favorite wrestler, but he worked well as a heel. His muscles always freaked me out, though, because he looked like softballs were literally implanted in his biceps. Nice reference on Holzhauer’s behalf, regardless.

Seeing CitW in theaters was genuinely the most fun I’d had seeing a movie since Iron Man in 2008. And, honestly, I am having a hard time thinking of a movie that brought me such enjoyment since then.

Are you glad it’s not on the list because you didn’t enjoy it, or is there another reason?

On the weekly SNL recaps I’ve read, evidence suggests Mooney is wildly beloved. Which is too bad for me, because I think he is unfunny, but I can’t find anybody to jump on my bandwagon.

And don’t forget Lucy Liu’s hair flipping! That was nearly X-rated on its own.

Cabin in the Woods came out in 2012, and it definitely belongs on this list somewhere.

No burnout on my end. I can’t say every Marvel flick is a zinger, but I’d rather watch a mediocre Marvel superhero movie than a mediocre movie without Marvel superheroes.

Harry Styles = Rob Corddry + Stephen Dorff, certainly. I can see it, but now I fear I won’t be able to unsee it.

I would guess that it is hard to find a bigger fan than me when it comes to Beverley Hills Cop. I’ve seen it a billion times, reference it often, and I think I literally put it in my top 10 favorite movies (top 20 for sure).

Hey, Pinocchio! Where are you going?

Only with a pretzel.

It’s nice seeing these stories about Hanks. He was a fixture of my childhood thanks to Dragnet, The ‘Burbs, and Big. The ‘Burbs especially was one of my favorite-favorites.

That’s a sweet story regarding Sandler not doling out comeuppance.

I am with you. That line breaks me every time I see it.

My freezer often has some Tina’s burritos in them, and after I microwave those things, they’re virtually falling apart. I use a knife and fork on them, and I haven’t looked back.

I am not a super artistic person, but even I enjoy painting, so that might be something for you to look at. Getting some canvas, paints, and basic brushes shouldn’t cost more than $30, and in my experience even the small paint bottles last forever.
