In other words, complete retread. ;)

I knew very little of Black Mirror before getting into it (right before season 4 was released), and being the color-in-the-lines guy I am, I started at season 1 episode 1. The only thing I knew was the show had to deal with technology and it usually didn’t have happy endings.

Notaro, as far as I’ve seen, is a funny writer and great performer. I first saw her on Comedy Central Live in the early 00's, and I’m happy she had a resurgence back in 2012.

In my own musings on the episode, “sentience” is the thorn that most sticks in the side of my “they’re blips and bloops” argument. It’s hard to argue against something that is self-aware that they aren’t “real.” For example (and jumping shows), when Data was put on trial in “The Measure of a Man” in TNG, I had no

I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts :)

In retaliation, he has to watch his son cruelly murdered.

Crocodile” was the episode to get me to stop watching Black Mirror for a while, I disliked it so much. In fact, I stopped after the murder of the main character’s friend because I figured it’d only get worse (and Internet research proves me right).

Per this timeline, Cruz’s beard—the iteration we’re familiar with today, at least—was first sighted in late November 2018. So, the observation you commented on is still late to the party, but their lateness is closer to six months, not 18 months.

Based on your description, I had an inkling who you were referring to, so I had to double check, and yep, it’s the guy I thought it was.

Agreed. I used to listen to Shut Up You Fucking Baby! on repeat when I was in college. By 2010, when I bought Bigger and Blackerer, I realized either I outgrew Cross or Cross had nothing left to give.

Sam Adams Boston Lager is one of my favorites in the sense that I know I can always depend on it and it always satisfies. It isn’t my favorite in taste by a long shot, but it is hyper dependable. The Sam Adams seasonal varietals are a different story altogether.

KB took this one for me. Italian subs, breakfast sausage sandwiches, and—my favorite of all time—gyros all make a convincing argument for me to choose KB. The hot chicken sandwich is nice but not one of my favs. I hate tuna sandwiches, but the inclusion of gyros in her stable negates that pick and then some.

Kate has my vote this time, but it is technically very close. KP had me until the Nduja inclusion (never had it, but that’s the reason why I can’t support it). AS was a microscopically close to first place—goat cheese on pizza is quite possibly my favorite topping; roasted pineapple is divine as mentioned in the

I’m on the side that a hotdog is a *type of* sandwich, and sandwiches just happen to be anomalously defined enough to cover a large swath of specialty items. As such, just calling something a sandwich is almost meaningless. That’s why when you talk to people who are serious about their sandwiches, they typically get

My dad will be happy, 100 percent. Thanks for the info :)

I had to take care of my dad after a surgery a month ago or so, and I was shocked to find out he was an avid Lifetime channel viewer. I saw Lori Laughlin everywhere there. In fact, the USC new was coming out when I was there and my dad was heartbroken that her show When Calls the Heart was canceled as a result.

I appear to be in the minority, but I fully endorse David Anthony. The Spicy Potato Soft Taco is one of the most slept on fast food items I’ve ever come across. The contrast in textures and the combo of creamy and spicy sauce is divine. And there’s very little post-consumption regret!

I largely agree with the list, though I would have put Dr. Strange a good chunk lower.

Ooo! Outstanding choice just using the reaction .gif and not actually Elaine. Best Kinja of the day :)

The Big Kahuna was one of my favorites, so I’ll definitely give it a rewatch. I’m not sure how my stomach is going to fill about Spacey being in it, though.
