Well, I live in Sacramento and I love Seinfeld. I think I have to go at least once. I don’t think I’ve often enjoyed my time at sports bars, though.

I am not super fashion-inclined, so my main takeaway here is that, god damn, celebs are beautiful people. Ricky Martin, Patricia Clarkson, Constance Wu (and more); these are all people who would make me fumble over my own words if I ever met them in real life. With that said, the only outfit I don’t care for is Rami…
Also, imo, the second season of GLOW was one of the better seasons of TV that I’ve seen in a while. I want to give the whole cast and crew awards for that.
I was a boy, but I remember being about 13 and playing Mario Party 3 with my mom one night. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but after something happened on screen, I started cracking up. Like, this was one of my top five most painful laugh sessions I was splitting so hard from the sides. I remember that even in…
It’s interesting. Outside of Dirt Bag, I never find myself wondering about Pete Davidson’s dick. And yet, whenever I see a Dirt Bag that refers to Davidson’s member, I click it without hesitance. Results of a puritanical society? The logical conclusion to celebrity obsession? I’m a pervert? I’ll never know they why.
A stand-up comedian (Christian Finnegan, maybe?) talked about a sign in his local bodega that said: If you don’t have any “ID,” then I can’t sell you any “beer.” His take away was either you didn’t actually need ID, or what was sold wasn’t actually beer. :D
You are correct, Kuwabara is the red-haired former-bully. He learns to summon an energy sword, and then learns how to manipulate it in other ways, too.
If it were a tag-based fighter, I would definitely play Kuwabara from YYH with Haggar from Final Fight. Just two bros trying to protect those they love.
Carte Blanche was fun. I’m not much of a Bond fan, so I can’t view the book from that point, but as a Deaver fan I think he did great with 007. Nice twists, weird villains, nice action points. If there ever were a sequel, I would have picked it up.
The Lincoln Rhyme mysteries is my favorite ongoing book series. It started more than a decade ago when I picked up a copy of The Vanished Man (about a killer illusionist) from Safeway before going on an 8-hour drive with my mom. It isn’t high-art by any means, but Deaver puts a lot of work in tying together a unique…
I honestly had no idea how into a Power Rangers fighting game I would be until reading this article. Too bad this is a mobile game...
Smart move, Taco Bell. My visits to TB become much more frequent when nacho fries are on the table.
I love your enthusiasm! Every monster deserves a fan, so I am happy the Popplio line has you in its corner.
I don’t have an issue with Piplup being number one, nor do I have an issue with Squirtle or Charmander rounding out the top three.
Mileage varies for everybody, so I can understand your glazed eyes reaction. The metric ton of expositional dialogue was the worst part of the film to me. I didn’t mind the “MacGuffin” hunting/fighting as much because that’s usually where the action set pieces were placed.
If that “pro-science” rebranding actually catches on, a significant part of my brain is going to break.
Dowd’s opinions certainly do seem to come from hipster/contrarian stance. I’m the last person to suggest that everybody like what I like, but some of their comments seem like they’re just trying to prove that they’re above mainstream appeal.
As you should! A kaiju movie has one job--show kaiju doing awesome stuff. Godzilla 2014 completely failed at that.
Us - I am sad I have to wait until March to see this. I’ve barely stopped thinking about it since the trailer dropped. I love horror and I’ve been enamored with Peele since his K&P days (love which has only gotten stronger since Get Out), so this is going to be an exciting release for me.
I feel similarly to your comment. The ad is fine. It’s kinda sweet, harmless, and if it causes some good, then that’s nice.
