I was under the impression that the previous season was the last season. This is a nice surprise and all, but now I am curious about my grasp of reality.

Full agreement here. Charisma is the perfect descriptor for him. He is similar to Will Smith in that sense (to me, anyway).

I will (likely) forever claim Collateral as my favorite Tom Cruise movie if only for the fact that he was a.) the villain, and b.) still pretty damned likable considering he was the villain. Y’know, aside from the rampant murder.

For me, I live for the credits dance scene. It was beautiful in its absurdity. But Cruise very much stole that movie with everything he did.

Thanks for digging up those scenes!

My point is, it wasn’t really shown as an actual choice. Based on my recollection (which might not be 100 percent accurate as stated in other comments), this is how it went:

To be fair, I believe your reading of Knocked Up is likely the view the filmmaker had and wanted the audience to have. In no way do I believe Apatow was trying to make a movie with some degree of a pro-life message. It was just something I noticed and was annoyed by. Every party needs a pooper, right? ;P

I’ve never seen Juno because it seemed so pro-lifey. Hearing this opinion helps me feel like I made the right choice :)

I disagree about the reaching. I’d have to rewatch the scenes to give explicit examples, but two people mentioning abortion and then quickly having the option slammed closed isn’t what I would consider an open view.

When I was replying to the other commenter, I doubled checked the wiki for Knocked Up, and the only character cited as bringing up abortion was Heigl’s mom (which was quickly dismissed without any real depth or conversation). Who was the other character to mention it?

I am not the commenter you are replying to, but I agree with you in the sense that abortion or carrying to term is a personal decision that should be decided by those it impacts.

Per usual for Michael Harriot, the comedy is great from beginning to end. Honestly, Filet-o-Fist sandwiches had my sides busting.

I want to be able to joke and be flippant about this story, because it reaches some extreme absurdity. However, my gut says this guy is going to end up causing a lot (more) harm and damage before he either receives the treatment he needs or is locked up for a long time. This guy is essentially a walking timebomb and

I agree 100 percent on the Tom Cruise role. The first few times I rewatched Tropic Thunder was pretty much purely to watch Cruise as the producer.

I am an ass for feeling this way, but I am glad this failed. This idea of a movie was doomed to fail. The trailer was spookily close to seeming like a fake trailer that could have aired before Tropic Thunder.

If you go into Bright somewhere along the lines of “I like Will Smith, and the modern-day fantasy world is a neat idea” you’ll likely be entertained (I was).

I didn’t, but I do now!

I rewatched The Faculty about a month ago, and that line still pops into my head from time to time. Very solid.

I have a set of those! I think they were made of red plastic, and there might have been four molds, but I’d recognize those poses anywhere!
