I think the Keurig did it right with the office model that extracted the pod and disposed of it internally instead of having to remove it yourself. That certainly removes a good bit of the perceived waste out of the perspective of the users.

We use a Technivorm Moccamaster that we got on clearance 6 or 7 years ago. It does a fantastic job of brewing with water at the right temp and not letting the pot get too hot and burning the coffee. My wife accidentally left the hot plate on all day and the coffee was still not burned when I got home. Little pricier…
Imagine how bad the lady in the car would feel regardless of fault. Better the kid didn’t die and suffered a good few bruises.
I had a wonderful laugh last summer while heading down the interstate. Group of 4 or 5 guys on hyabusas and the like were tearing it up. Wheelies, excessive speeding cutting people off and just generally being terrible. They passed me screaming and being stupid, when in the distance I see a plume of smoke. Thought…
That one really pisses me off the most. You missed it, live with it and go to the next exit. It will take you an extra 2 minutes get over it. You are not more important than everyone you are endangering, have some courtesy and don’t be a dick. Lessons for life right there.
Yep, nearly got changed lanes in to yesterday twice on the way to work. First guy had just changed lanes from in front of me to the lane next to me. I sped up to maintain proper distance with the car in front of me and as I was coming up on his rear bumper he decided his old lane was a better choice and just came on…
Yeah at a light would really help my daily commute. I’m never on the highway on a daily basis but I’m on busy surface streets. Filtering at lights would probably cut my commute in roughly half. When school isn’t in I can get to work in 15 minutes but during the school year it’s 35-40 because of traffic and back up at…
Only time I have experienced a legal lane splitter was in CA last week. Traffic was moving really slowly and the rider was approaching from the rear at a reasonable speed and I moved over a bit to give him extra room. It was that easy and not bad at all from a rider or driver standpoint. I’ve ridden in the foothills…
Because they are full on morons. Here in Denver there are 2 extremely stanced Subaru WRX STi running around town bouncing up and down over every crack in the pavement. As a more mature STi owner it pains me to see what they did to this great car.
With global entry the system does ask you questions and depending on how you answer them it may direct you to the regular line for further screening. I believe you are allowed to skip to the front if directed that way. I don’t remember a question about alcohol or tobacco when last I used the service. Only one I can…
I’m in the it never hurts to ask camp. Got my wife a full set of winter mats and trunk liner when she bought her car. I got 30% off and free installation of a slip on exhaust and bar end mirrors on my motorcycle. Worst they can say is no and then I know where I stand. I think if you have a good dealer and you are a…
Rovers already have a button to raise or lower the suspension. Just have to have the doors shut to do it.
It’s my favorite feature in our LR4, I love being able to drop it down so old dog and dopey dog can get in without me picking up butts on the way out to the dog park. I thought it was a useless feature until both dogs couldn’t jump up in the back at ride height.
I was really nervous about this when I demoed everything from Harley’s touring line. Coming from a 425lb naked sport bike I was nervous about the weight, but it really was a nonissue. I’m sure slow speed stuff could be tricky, but general riding was just fine.
Living in CO I have definitely seen this. Went for a motorcycle meet and then a big group ride on Saturday. There were about 60 bikes total broken in to 3 groups. While waiting in the parking lot with the other bikers right before the ride I smelled a good bit of weed being smoked. At that point I decided my afternoon…
That’s how I feel in Colorado too, 8 year old car that is worth 1/3 of the new price? Sure that will be $750 to register just because it was overpriced when new. Basically have to pay 1-2% a year of the original MSRP regardless oh when or how it was purchased. I bought a motorcycle in 2017 that was a left over 2015.…
Time to move on to motorcycles. Even with all the electro-goodies it’s still very much you, a throttle, brakes and a clutch. Riding is basically everything driving used to be in cars that had character.
I’ve had this conversation with my father in law back before I married his daughter. He rebuilt and gave her a ‘67 Camaro with a 350 V8 that he was so sure was just super fast and handled well. Until that fateful day when I convinced him to drive my STi.
Agreed 2 summers ago in Denver I had hail damage on a bit more than 1/3 of my car. Cost $12,000 to repair, had it damaged both sides and not just the passenger side and roof I bet it would have been totaled too. Which would be a shame, it was only a 2 year old STi with about 20k miles.
Hard mode has you in Sacramento to save money but you chose to drive to San Fran or not.
