As United keeps reminding us every time the plane hits 10,000 feet, the flight attendants are there for our safety. Which is why they can kick people off of airplanes pretty much unilaterally for any little thing. Seems like turnabout is fair play.

She is legally in charge of the cabin - it is a BFD. Passengers are beaten and arrested for far less.

When the passengers are LEGALLY REQUIRED to follow her commands, yes, being drunk is a big fucking deal.

The flight attendants are in charge of safety in the cabin. What if they had a serious issue in flight, and she was too drunk/high to do anything? I’d say that qualifies as endagering lives.
