@Alan Vochaska: I'd welcome a midlife crisis if I ended up getting a 'Vette out of the deal.

Okay, that made my day, and I too love the smell of karma in the morning!

@SlayBeau: Well, I don't think the crash helped any, but yes, I believe "Wandermatic" power steering was standard on most 70's cars, and the Dart/Valiant was no exception. I'm pretty sure the tie-r0d ends, pittman arm, and steering box were all pretty tired on the car too.

I had this horrible nightmare..I was reading Jalopnik and watching Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and I fell asleep and there was this ugly Chinese care made of chocolate and......

Presenting...the new Nissan Puke! JUKE....I meant Juke!!!!

Lentz is a liar, Lauer! Liar, Lauer, pants on fire!

@SlayBeau: Yeah, that's a good comparison. The slant-6 is bulletproof, and you could fix a Dart with a screwdriver, a set of wrenches and bailing wire!

Too bad this guy wasn't smart enough to drive it into a lake!

Wow, what are the odds that unintended acceleration would occur at the exact moment you were parking in front of a Toyota dealer's showroom?

Too bad he didn't come to Jalopnik.com, or he'd be pulling up to the office in his newly-purchased 1969 refrigerator-white Plymouth Valiant.

If it's got a slant-6, it should easily run for another 41 years (probably without a major rebuild!). Fancy? Luxurious? Stylish? No. Rugged, dependable, and cheap to operate? Full of character? Square? Definitely.

The DS will never go out of style!

The flush headlamps and front turn signal definitely match the 323.

Merkur?

Even if it is only just a tarted-up Cavalier, it would be worth saving. It's one of those nostalgia things that was so awful at the time that it eventually becomes cool

Wow, Tesla's business plan sounds like something GM dreamed up.

If nothing else, you've certainly got to admire that kind of tenacity.

Phew, I'm glad that's (maybe) over. I think I need a drink.

@Boxer_4: Barring that, you could at least carry enough fire extinguishers so that your death would be only half as fiery.

@fhgfht: Spam spam spam spam, lovely spam, wonderful spam!
