One of the major planks in the Republican Party Platform appears to be “there are no quiet parts” and I don’t see any indications they have actual problems with any of this.

I really am truly baffled by how dumb this decision is. Graham and McConnell are evil, but they aren’t dumb. Like are they trying to lose in November? This is a huge winning issue for the Democrats who already have the momentum, so why give them more reasons to appeal to voters?
