Goombas no, that man is constantly going through sewer pipes, get that out of your mouth.

Looks more like he's awkwardly breathing on Mario as he walks by but sure, "bites."
Damn, that was almost too realistic. Please don’t show this kind of graphic violence without prior warning!
Ready Player One is a utopia for these idiots.
Right is this not just someone sort of falling off a motorcycle? lol. “Oh it’s a reference!”
Loudly and proudly misunderstanding basic concepts of storytelling and characterization is defining trait of geek culture.
Oh, man, should I buy and play this game, or should I buy and play literally any other game available on the market right now, new release or old? Decisions, decisions.
Yeah, my first thought was either it’s a subverted trope or not a reference at all - Akira didn’t event laying motorcycles down for heaven’s sake. In the clip, it looks like she’s trying to hastily avoid running into a barricade.
Seems to me like it’s probably just a standard, common laying-down-the-bike crash, not an Akira slide. /shrug
Yeah the entire point of MJ is she’s NOT a super hero, but a regular person doing their best to do their best
Honestly, it looks pretty funny. When everyone from Yu-Gi-Oh to Doraemon pulls this move, it’s becoming less of an homage or in-joke than the animation equivalent of the Wilhelm Scream.
The only hate of MJ I’ve seen are the guys who dislike the in-game model because they’ve trained their brain to only be aroused by Photoshop/Instagram-filtered women.
To her credit, we don’t know the context for why MJ biffed the Akira slide.
Low level misogyny that permeates every facet of society and is less masked in the gaming fandom.
Seriously what is it with male gamers (TM) and their hate of MJ and red haired women in gaming in general? It seems they have something new to complain about every day.
While some fans are trouncing MJ’s vehicular oopsie as developer Insomniac Games “not [understanding] the assignment”
I swear I saw a GIF of a Sailor Moon character botching the slide.
The Paw Patrol dialogue didn’t help/
Pretty much this. The vibe I got was that Nintendo wanted “Anime” acting, which always has a VERY particular sound and style. To western audiences, the result is that it always sounds extremely cheap and generic, regardless of who you cast.
Persona 4 alone guaranteed I would never regret buying a Vita.
