It’s odd to me too. I wonder if they’re making the move towards top slot: dark and bottom slot: light, and cycling out kinetic entirely? Or if they’re just trying to encourage people to use stasis weapons?

I have good news about tigerspite! It’s back! I have one in my hot little hands and while it’s not the roll I used to run, the gun is as satisfying as ever. (It was my favorite too, though it’s been somewhat displaced by gnawing hunger at this point.)

Honestly, if you want a ‘the story so far’ update, then I strongly recommend the “My Name is Byf” videos that run through everything. I’d call them a summary but that is 100% false as the runtimes put literal movies to shame. They’re good fun and really do a good job of digging into the lore and fully contextualizing

Welcome! I look forward to reading what you have to say.

I think updating the content warning is a good move. On a broader note, it always seems like games that approach topics from an earnest, inclusive angle seem to come in for more criticism than games that do a very poor or insensitive job of addressing those topics.

I don’t know if I think that this *is* Asher. It feels more like a messenger, or a remote drone. I think Asher is going to be something far bigger than a harpy...

Just as a heads up: it looks like there are a lot of compatibility issues with that monitor, which may explain the sale. I was about to purchase it based on recommendations here, and I’m glad I checked out the reviews first. Be sure its going to work with your device!

I’ve learned that every group is going to have its bad actors, and that most of them will be loud and uncomfortable to deal with. I try not to judge any group by its vocal minority, good or bad.

Yeah, the show lost me over this, thankfully before I’d invested too much time and energy in it.

I don’t really find this all that surprising. The difference between how I saw the characters and how the author saw them became pretty evident as I watched the show, and things progressed from ‘ignorable level of fanservice in my found family story’ to ‘why is the grown dragon-woman sneaking into the human child’s

For pvp, Towerfall is a great time; it’s simple, and there’s enough randomness to make it fun even for groups with different skill levels. Fights are quick and engaging. The maps are varied enough to keep the game fresh, and there’s some character customization elements as well.

I will say that it gets easier. I got a little tangled in it for a while with a friend of mine—I didn’t have any objections to using their pronouns at all, but it felt a little clumsy in certain contexts (particularly when referring to them as a family unit with their partner vs them in the singular sense) but it’s

This seems like a fantastic way to make the game more accessible without ruining the tone of the game. I feel like that first real tilt is really potent when its a surprise, but I can definitely see how it could be too much for some folks. I really like the compromise the dev came up with here, and I hope other games

I’ve had “wifi networks” demonstrated for me that just completely take over your phone. You can do so with a device that costs less than 100 bucks, and it can control your device completely.

I will add in nice puzzles, like the Hanayama puzzles. They look lovely and their solutions tend to be very satisfying. They also scale well to just about any skill level.

If you can get past the art style, I recommend Rimworld. The difficulty (and stress levels) can be dialed in really finely, and it’s got a lot of the interacting systems that make Oxygen Not Included fun.

I agree with more specific weapon tweaks/bans. I’m just not sure the tools they have can do something that specific.

I honestly interpreted that as specific weapon bans. This feels particularly targeted at PvP, but I bet if there’s a situation like Gjallarhorn where it was a raid must, we might see bans or restrictions there too.

None of us get to keep our Tigerspite. If it’s already been sunset (white icon in the corner) then they aren’t rolling that back and the weapon is not going to be useful to you. This is probably to keep the people who have already recycled beloved sunset weapons and armor from rioting in the street.
