I love the FE battle system, but am kinda burnt on the over-abundance of characters and having to choose (as well as how this dilutes the characterization of each character). Would VC be an improvement on that for me?

Hmm, I may have to try 'Keep Talking'.. it gets a lot of love on the VR subreddit, but I don't have the types of parties anymore where it'd get broken out. Does it have lasting power for 2 people? What about a little kiddo?

Oh man, Kagero.. if I could even get a 3* one I'd be thrilled.

Great answers here.. I have little to add but my own experience. I picked PS4 because its exclusives outnumbered Xbox's considerably (especially the ones I actually wanted to play, despite being a 360 owner in the previous gen), and I went Pro to give more horsepower to VR. The games that support Pro are GORGEOUS,

Persona 5: Made some good progress this week. Palace 1 is down, Mementos is explored, and Palace 2 has been discovered. Pretentious Artist has been met. Updated theme music has been grooved to. Knowledge was upgraded just in time for exams. I plant-watered and steak-ate my way to enough Kindness to engage Ann

From what I understand from following this, joining the council wasn't a show of support for Trump. Musk basically thought, "Well, he asked me, maybe he will listen to what I have to say and my advice can prevent some bad things."

Yeah, Witcher combat is interesting in that it's much harder at the beginning. Even on highest difficulty, despite getting wrecked over and over early on, I pretty much had a cakewalk from a third in til the end. At least until the DLC, where I had to start learning how to use potions to really overpower myself to

DA:I is solid, but you have to just ignore the side-quests unless you REALLY feel like doing them. They're very bland and filler-y, and there are a MILLION.

There's still a little time when the newborn is sleeping and you can't. And then in a couple years, there's a library of Nintendo and Lego games made specifically for adults and kids to pal around in together.

"Worth it" is subjective, but I was immediately floored by the difference in my games between PS4 w/ HDTV and Pro w/ 4KTV. It helps that my old HDTV was on the low-end anyway, so the upgrade was even higher.

Damn, I was JUST about to try the cheat method tonight..

It took me years, but that's the healthy way to approach trophies.. an extra little incentive for a game you really want to keep playing anyway. Otherwise, even excellent games can turn sour, as developers have not really put a ton of thought into what makes a trophy fun, and can add some joyless, grindy garbage in

Persona 5: Finished the first palace, celebrated, rode the Catbus around Mementos. Exams are coming up, and my Knowledge is still at the minimum despite spending quite a few afternoons at the diner and one night doing crosswords. It's gonna be tight. Musically, I love that the 'round town' music added lyrics at

"Combat the flat-earth truthers in your life with proof.."

The Last Guardian has those moments, but not in regards to a guide character. And it is indeed deeply endearing.. one of my favorite things about a uniquely charming game.

I don't know how I feel about Skinner Box systems bleeding over from the mobile realm and taking over living room gaming.

Great article, and I think it provides some much-needed context for understanding the voice of the game. I can see how, from an American perspective, the plot is a well-worn trope. Out of all societies, America is the one who probably trumpets individualism the most, and our media is overflowing with heroes who

Oh I think that's true. I'm in a red state, but live and work in a blue part, and my workplace is VERY blue. I know people from all ethnic/gender combinations, with their own justifications from voting Trump. But to hear it from my very-left coworkers, Trump voters are just racist or deluded. That side wants to

Oh, in America. I guess that part's important. People you meet abroad may already be part of a self-selecting group that will lower the chance of the conversation steering in a direction like that.

C'mon, where's your sense of adventure? I recently went outside for a smoke and decided to talk to a guy with a 'Make America Great Again' hat, not bring up politics, and just see where the roller coaster went. It was actually a pleasant enough conversation.
